She might want to keep on waring the diapers beacuse she is scared of wetting herself in public due to her weak baldder. But not changing them herself is just plain lazy and wierd. Id say make her start changing them herself atleast and look for possible solutions like tori said surgeyr if you can afford it soon.

Later in life I had to have surgery to fix that problem from having kids. It worked perfectly. Take her to a doc immediatly! And a psychiatrist. Can't do it by herself? She just doesn't want to do it. Please help her.

ok, first of all, this story IS true but it was written by the 16 yo girl who like many males and females from 13 to 99, she has a medical condition called, infantilism. Also known as ab/dl. The mother writes from the perspective of being the one who must smell and see the urine and poo mess which is the turn on for the 16 yo girl. Untill i was 12 i was a bedwetter and my mom helped me into my diapers and i was a mixture of feelings, it surely was embarassing for me but i also enjoyed it somehow too . Thankfully it stopped when i hit puperty. The few times it had happened since my mom still cleans up my beddings. I think this is halfway normal. She has incontinence, obviously. It should be easy to put an adult diaper on for a 16 year old female. You literally get it snug and adjust the tapes until it fits right, and make sure the leg gathers are outside of the diaper. It should also be easier for a girl since they don't have anything in the way.

Yes, this is completely normal. What you need to do is sit down with her and talk about any problems she may have and take her to a doctor to see if there is a problem and what medication she may need. She may also be embarrassed to ask anybody else therefore she asks the person who will understand. Maybe buy her a few packs of 8-15 yearold drynites and check they fit, if they do she could use these at night. These will also keep her dry and she wont feel nervous going anywhere and also maybe keep a few if your going anywhere and you will be safe. She will eventually grow out of this fairly soon but in the mean time just make sure she gets the correct treatment and do what you can for her. Hope this helped!

She might keep wearing diapers because she likes it. There is a large community out there, of people that enjoy wearing and using diapers. Maybe you should look into the ABDL community or the TBDL community which stands for Teen Baby Diaper Lover. A few years ago I found out that my daughter is a Teen Baby Diaper Lover she was 13 when I found out (16 now) and it doesn't really bother me. I buy her all the adult diapers she wants and I change her diaper. Hope you found this helpful.

Incontince occurs in any age and is very common. She is 16 and she has to live with the fact that she has a weak bladder. If she wants to wear diapers that is understandable and you should let her. She only should go to the doctor when it feels different as else. Just let her live her life, it's nothing bad or dangerious.

Not to be funny but has your daughter ever been diagnosed as having developmental delays not because of the wetting of the bed( although her bladder should have grown along with her ) but because she seems to still be in the autonomy vs shame developmental stage according to Erikson she appears to me to be stuck in this stage when she should be in the identity vs role confusion stage. I say this because she should be learning to become a individual and to do this she must become independent and not have u help her with her problem. Typically teenagers tend to want to do everything on their own without any help from parent, your daughter does not fit this description.
