Did you ever build a computer?
I am interested in how many people here have done it. I find that it is pretty common to see on the internet, but I want to know how exactly it is on this site.

I built an old computer in middle school. I am not into PC gaming much anymore. I only use my outdated desktop to play WOW and final fantasy 7 once in a blue moon. Other than that I just use it for editing and saving contracts and stuff like that. I use my smart phone to watch tranny porn sometimes.
I used to build my own computers but now I have a laptop with a 17" wide screen and love it! I would never consider building another computer.
i built one a while back that was going back to the pentium 4. back then it was cheaper to build than to buy new, now it seems the other way round.
I primarily dis/assemble them (if you're one of the people that only consider "building" purely to be selecting the appropriate components [based on criteria such as price to performance ratio] AND assembling it all together at the end).
Not completely from scratch, but I did Frankenstein computers together from a bunch of junk ones, usually and average of three, and put the best parts from each to get a good one. I never had the budget to buy one from scratch using the latest stuff, but sometimes, I could source a few broken newer ones and get one that runs.
I currently have a Dell with some problems that
I got for nothing, that i plan to fix, upgrade with some things, and Stuff in a case from a 1980s Packard Bell IBM XT clone.
If you know what to look for, you can use older components in a few areas, and still manage to get a computer with decent (mid-Range) performance.
If you do build one from used parts, just make sure the HDD or SDD (Hard Drive) is wiped clean and use a fresh install of whatever OS you plan to use, and if the person looks shady, don't buy the Computer!
I used to assemble computers from the case up for people with specific requirements back in the 90's, in my spare time. I found it interesting to find the bits necessary and get them all to work together for something like gaming or video/audio production. Sourcing parts was half the fun.
As technology changed more and more quickly, only those willing to keep up through periodic re-education could compete, and I was never a fan of school anyway, so I stopped.
