I will get it when it is available to me, because I actually give a shit about people who aren't me.
Seems that's a novel idea here, so far...
I would also like it, whenever Australia gets around to actually starting the programme.
I suppose we're not really a priority right now since we've not really properly had covid, but I am looking forward to us all getting it so that I can go and visit family again.
Had covid, antibodies are normally good for 5 to 6 months or more. 2nd time getting covid normally not as severe.
Vaccine, they're not sure about but they think it's good for around 6 months, however no one knows what the long term effects are of either. We are just now learning of possible long term effects of vaccines used in the 1960s & 70s.
Yes I know there are exceptions to everything but remember the vaccines are only about 85 to 95% effective. If you get the vaccine your not even considered an exception just one of the 10% it didn't work for.
If I hadn't all ready had it, I would seriously consider it though.
I would definitely consider it. While it's true that the second time isn't usually as severe, there are exceptions. A local woman got it twice. The first time was like the flu and the second time randomly damn near killed her. She also completely insanely got it again only like two months after the first time though (absurd I know) so the temporal proximity might have made the second time so bad as her body still wasn't really fully back up to speed.
I can’t get it soon enough, but apparently even though I’m a key worker I still don’t get prioritised.
“Come into work! Come into contact with dozens of people each day! Wait you want to be fast tracked to get vaccinated due to your increased risk? Screw you!”
I actually fully support the people who are against vaccines not vaccinating.
Yeah me too happened last march. Plus I'm a early 20 something. Covid was just bad for one day.
I am not getting it. I can't even get the flu shot without getting a fever and vomiting all over the place. I also come from a family of asthmatics and I work two jobs right now. So I really can not afford to miss work.
I'm not sure if I should get the vaccine, or not but I have recieved a letter from my healthcare provider offering it to me.
Love it.
I also love this meme depicting someone with a tube shoved down their throat that says, "Tell me more about how uncomfortable that mask really was."
Well, I'm not on a ventilator yet. Yeah, I probably should see about getting a vaccine, because I'm probably a little a risk. Is high blood pressure one of the risk factors?
I havent got a vaccine for anything since I Was like 14 so I see no reason to do it now.
I got my first dose on February 5th.
A few days prior, management gathered us and said our Target store teamed up with some nearby medical place to get vaccines for us. When we signed up, we had to pick what day was good for us. There were only 40 vaccines, so it was first come, first serve. There were only 38 employees in the building that day because everyone else called out due to the snowstorm that was raging outside, so pretty much everyone that actually came that day got one.
I'm due for my second dose on March 5th.
I’m not getting it. I’m 19 years old and healthy, offering it to people like me is a blatant waste of tax payer money (it’s offered on the NHS here) and I disagree with the measures to combat Covid-19, it’s a flu like virus that’s only fatal to the elderly/immuno-compromised, just let natural selection take its course and go for herd immunity, no vaccines, restrictions or lockdowns.
The best part is that there's no evidence that the restrictions or lockdowns even work, just that it "seems to make sense that they do"
If it wasnt for the news blasting this stuff all the time nobody would even know "covid" existed.
Well it's impossible to tell how the alternate universe america that didnt do lockdowns fared.
Yes conventional logic would say that lockdowns generally equal less cases. But shouldn't be done like this due to economic destabilization and inflation.
The media made things 1000x worse.
The enemy was never Covid, but the fear mongers and the lockdown pushers.
No, there is really no point in getting the vaccine. Fauci insists we must still wear mask (or 2 or 3, because he loves moving the damn goal post, which obviously concludes masks are ineffective because why the hell do we need 2?) and social distance even after your vaccinated. The fact nothing will go back to normal after the vaccine, the fact we need 2 shots instead of 1 is similar to Fauci's response on mask wearing, "if you want to ensure you're fully protected, try 2 or 3, it's just common sense", the fact it took less than a year to develop when normally vaccines take 8 to 10 years to develop, the fact we don't know the long term effects from this vaccine, the fact many doctors and nurses REFUSING the vaccine raises a lot of red flags. They claim it's a 94-95% success rate, but your chances of surviving Covid is over 99%. I see no point in this vaccine. So, if someone can explain to me why taking this vaccine (without being an asshole) tell me why this is a good idea and why I and everyone should take it? How did Hank Aaron die after receiving it? Is there a sinister plan for depopulating the Earth in order to combat climate change? Or am I just a crazy conspiracy theorist? I'd like to challenge any pro-vaxers to address my concerns for this vaccine.
I got my does last friday. I was somehow lucky and the system let me get in at tier 1b even though Im at least 1c. I work in education, but im not an educator
I'm getting my 2nd dose of the vaccine tomorrow! Being a caretaker I was able to be able to get it sooner than other ppl my age.
I don't think anyone in the world is fully vaccinated yet are they? Most people are still to recieve a first dose and those who have been given the vaccine have only had it once...
No I didn't get it and I still don't. I mean, how safe (in the long term) are any vaccines developed rapidly?
I wish I could get it. Won't be available until summertime. Our state government is exceptionally inefficient.
