Do i have ocd?

All my life, I have felt the need to feel the same sensations on both sides of my body. It's not extreme most of the time, and it depends on the type of sensation. I notice it especially when my hand is very cold. Occasionally something will touch my arm in a certain way, and I will go nuts if I can't touch it again in a different spot. Also I have to step on the same number of cracks/leaves/darker tiles with both feet, and if my heel scrapes on the pavement, I will not be comfortable until both have scraped about the same amout. Same thing when turning around - I have to go both ways.
I also have an obsession with invisible strings protruding from the corners of objects, like lasers. Mainly it bugs me when I don't know whether something has crossed one of these lines or not.
However I've never been diagnosed with OCD, and I don't want to assume something that probably isn't true - opinions?

I think you are not a sufferer of the OCD.

I don't think you know what the symptoms of OCD are. You don't have them.

I think this guy is totally wrong. I think it sounds like you absolutely have OCD tendencies. I have OCD and you sounds like you are definitely having obsessive thoughts as well as compulsions. Go speak to a therapist and I bet he diagnosis you with OCD the same day.
