Do these symptoms look like lung cancer?

I've been having a really dry cough for a few weeks at least (not that bad but the urge to cough is almost constant.) A bit more mucus is produced. I feel like I'm out of breath even when sitting down, and feel like there's something blocking the airway. There's sometimes a sharp pain at a specific point in my left shoulder or ribs.
I smoke about 12-20 cigarettes a day, but haven't smoked for more than five years, and I'm in my early twenties.

The odds of you having lung cancer from smoking less than a pack a day for 5 years is pretty much zero. But why not just see a doctor?

You sure do smoke a lot of cigarettes. You should see a doctor about medical questions, not ask a bunch of strangers who are not medical doctors :P

you should probably get tested for TB... it can lie dormant for 20+ years. then it activates and kills you. so yeah, head to gp IMMEDIATELY.

I believe if you aren't coughing up blood on a regular basis, it's probably not cancer. TB perhaps, but not cancer.
