Nope. I don't really understand what ghosts are even supposed to be, though. However, I do believe in hallucinations!
Who has downthumbed my nanaface?! :@
But I agree to be honest. I have hallucinated about three times. And it felt so real, was extremely scary but afterwards you realise it isn't real.
Ha, how come I just got this notification now? How strange:S. Haha, *your* nanaface?:P And who exactly is claiming possession of me?:O Hehe. Either way, that doesn't sound good. Did you get visited by ghosts or something?:S
Not telling you hehe ;)
No don't think so. I once "woke up" and saw a man walking across my room. I shot up in bed, he shot around and just stared in my face which felt like forever. I thought some man had broken into my house and I was about to get killed. I then screamed, turned the light on and nothing was there. I scared myself thinking it was a ghost but I put it down to being woken up for some reason out of REM sleep and I was still dreaming whilst being aware of my surroundings.
Second time I went on a piss up holiday. Had about 2 hours sleep in the four days we were there. Was clearly exhausted. I got on the plane and started to hallucinate that the air hostess had a bomb and was going to set it off at any second. Wasn't very nice, I was shitting myself basically. My friend next to me was also hallucinating that the girl he liked was snogging the face of some random guy and some other really weird things. It sounds silly but my God it felt and looked so real. Hallucinations can really trick your mind.
Aww man, I'm curious:P! I have a guess, but I'm not very good at guessing:(.
Wow, that sounds awful.D: I've never had a hallucination. I'd probably die of fright, to be honest. So do you know what caused them, was it just sleep deprivation or something? Strange!:S
That time I was on the plane, never been so tired in my life lol so yes think it was definitely due to sleep deprivation. We couldn't even talk we were that tired. My friend just managed to get out "I'm so tired... Can't talk...Seeing weird things...Scared". And I was like "...me too :'("
I dunno. I've experienced weird things but it very well could just be a mental construct in the human brain to cope with the idea of not existing after death.
I don't believe in ghosts like the movies or shows like Ghost Whisperer depict them, but I do believe in heavenly or demonic spirits that can "act" as others. I believe that when we die our spirit becomes separated from our body and our soul and spirit go to either Heaven or Hell and cannot return (at least for the time being) but that certain spiritual beings, angels and demons, can inhabit Earth temporarily to conduct business for their master (God or Satan) and even temporarily inhabit a person's body (someone speaking prophetically in the anointing of the Holy Spirit or someone speaking under the power of a demonic spirit, they do exist). So yeah, I don't believe in "ghosts" (per se) but if you want to call a "spirit's presence" a ghost, then yes.
There are more reports and dramatazation of Aliens from outer space than there are of Ghosts. But I give a little room for believing in ghosts for the fact I believe at the center of the universe where the "big bang" emininated from is where the universe gets its energy. Everything and everyone is connected to that energy and we usually flock back to it after we die but if our personal speritual energy is distracted enough by unresolved business and we don't heed the call of the all spark We become "Ghost" if You will. Ghosts can be counseled much like the living but it's alot harder to do so because the spirit energy is in a rut and our sense of time is N?A to the spirit realm. We're moving faster than they are that is why a haunting can last up to 100 years maybe longer.
Err aahhah I believe I heard a ghost before. o_O It was sooo creepy!!! >_< One time I left my Chihuahua in my room for 1 hour on my bed and I left her all alone, then I came back, and then I said, "Brownie!! (name of my Chihuahua) ;p I'm so sorry I left you in here all alone!! I'll never leave you again!" *ANND in my mind I was thinking oh holy sht I left here in with the ghosts!!
* Ahahah when I was petting her I heard a male voice say, "SHUT UP" >;l... I was like wtf?!? I opened my door to see if anyone was out there, and I peered through my window, *no one there* I didn't even RECOGNIZE that voice! So yeah, uhuh I DO believe in ghosts and spirits, but they're completely different. Yeah I believe in them. I also believe they know what we're thinking ... o_O Ahahha I'm sorry after that exp. it's just that I gone alil cuckoo! XP
I haven't had a ghost encounter since I was a kid, I had various ones before the age of 10. Then I stopped seeing them. But since then I have had some strange unexplainable occurances. Maybe my imagination as a kid played tricks on me, but alot of people say that kids/babies are always more attuned to see ghosts so I don't know.
hahahaha :D I wish there were ghosts :P Life would have been a lot more interesting :P
Yes they exist, i was watching tv one night where i then saw a shadow the size of a kid in front of my white wall, i got up to go look at it and it was still there, i looked away looked back and it was still there, i tried to get closer but i saw it go backwards into the wall and vanish.
I definitely do. When I was about 10, my parents bought an old house that was sold by the kids of a recently deceased couple who had built the house and lived in it for almost 60 years. They both died only months apart. After we moved in, my sister and I would hear people talking and cabinet doors closing at night. Then one night I went down the cellar to get something and saw an old man standing there. I ran like hell, and I told the old man who lived next door for just abou as long, and he said I described the former owner to a tee.
I believe weird unexplainable shit happens to people sometimes.
When I was 9/10 I was walking home from my best friends house, a few blocks away from mine. The main streets were well lit, but the back streets were practically pitch black. So I'm just walking along, lucid as can be, then I see a light/white being-sized thing fly (leaping fluidly) through the second floor facade, into the third floor. It didn't creep me out while I was watching; it happened pretty quickly.
I don't want to but I have to. Otherwise I'd have to assume that I'm having hallucinations. It's a boring story actually but still it must have been a ghost, spirit, or however you want to call it. One night I was in my room sleeping when I suddenly woke up. I heard someone clearly knocking several times on my wall (which is literally impossible since my room is in the second floor so you'd have to be able to fly to knock, and there's also the fact that it didn't sound the way knocking a cement wall should sound, it sounded more like knocking a door). I immediately turned on the lights and the knocking stopped. I thought it was my imagination so I turned off the lights and went back to sleep. And the knocking started once again. I swear it happened at least 4 times. As soon as I turned on the light the knocking stopped, I turned it off, it began again. In the end I just thought "whatever, it's not like it's harming me in any way, I may as well sleep". So I just closed my eyes and fell asleep and I have no clue if the knocking continued or not. So... yeah. I believe in ghosts.
I come from a very spiritual family. My great grandmother who i never met was an aboriginal feather woman, she could contact the dead and when she put a curse on you (she called curses pointing the bone) that shit actually came true. My mother is a psychic she reads playing cards and will tell your past before your future so you believe her. She doesn't charge money for readings because she says it's against the spirits to do so.
Point is, all this spooky stuff has brought spirits onto my family. Things touch me while i sleep, things get thrown and voices yell in my ears. All that stuff that would take to long to write on here. But yes, i believe in ghosts. I've been living with them for so long that when I see them (I've never seen one take shape, just the occasional black mass hanging around the house) it doesn't bother me.
What is a feather woman?
I have met psychics with similar values, never take money.
I suppose an aboriginal with supernatural powers and such. I never really asked but everyone in my family referred to her as a 'feather woman'
Yes, she says that's how you can tell a real psychic from a phony and do charge money is exploiting the gift for personal gain.
No.
I'm open to the idea of ghosts (or beings resembling the ghost stereotype), but I certainly would never give any credibility to the claims of their existence without seeing evidence.
My old dog used to love going to Durdle Door in Dorset, and I have a picture of us both there, then a few years after he passed away we were planning to go there and I suddenly got images of Durdle Door Arch way at the bottom of my mug after drinking tea on a regular basis - took pictures of it. Then on the day we went to the archway, I got the image again in the bottom of my mug, and I went and sat in the same place we sat for the photo and I could actually literally feel him next to me - it was amazing! And to this day I haven't had a Durdle Door in my mug since. Think he just wanted to be remembered (yea I know its a dog!!!)Hoping to go back there and see if it happens again :)
Seen the ghost of my neighbors recently deceased cat whilst I was feeding her other one, more of a solid shape/shadow, I followed it into the dining room and it disappeared, Bella was her name, she had a particular way of walking so I'm convinced it was her.
But I have had a bit more of nastier experience, was staying in a barn conversation in the Lake District, was asleep in bed and got woken up with a fright - someone had grabbed my leg and pulled me down the bed. Scared the Sh*t out of me. Clambered back up the bed and kept my eyes tight shut, pulled my duvet over me and curled up tight - didn't wanna see what was there and just said out loud something like "find someone else to help you - you're frightening me" And that was that. (Thank goodness!)
