Do you believe in ghosts?

As a kid my family experienced some odd happenings at first which later revealed to be haunts in our house. Thankfully it didn't last long. It was actually the ghost of a passed loved one.
If this didn't happen in my life I would NEVER believe in ghosts or paranormal stuff. I'd think people were either crazy or lying about it if it didn't happen to me.
With all the "Ghost and paranormal" shows on tv I understand some things are automatically haunts and not explainable. In some ways these shows make the whole topic a joke.
What do you all think? Do you believe?

sissycakes, 'Paranormal ' is a word for a large range of things , such as:
        Orbs,
        Colors,
        Shadows,
        Dark Beings,
        Animals ( that would be considered spiritual; such as a moth. Here's a link : http://www.potrerotradingpost.com/AnimalRepresentations.html. )
        Odd Noises.
And possibly, strange dreams or visions/hallucination.

As for the timidness at night: Just remember that they CANNOT touch you, hurt you, or POSSESS you. ( The Exorcist is a load of hogwash. No matter how hard you believe in it. )

Sage also helps. And so does Palo Santos wood. If none of that works , I find having a dog or a cat in the room helps IMMENSELY. Or you could hire a shaman to work on your house , In my case I experienced a shaman when I was visiting my friend in South Dakota. ( We, unfortunately do not have the opportunity to hire shamans here in Dublin. Only leprechauns ☘️🇮🇪 : P )

        Much Love,

Yeah, grandma's house was haunted. They were harmless, just a lot of disembodied voices that mimiked us:

    Ghost: Tealights!!!!
    Me: What mom?
    ---Silence----
Me: Oh yeah, everyone is at the store. The fuck was that?

    Or

    Ghost: MOM!!!
    Mom: What Tealights?
Me: Hm? I didn't call you.
    Mom: Yeah you did.
    Me: Noooope.

I had my own personal experiences as I got older, but that's like the first evidence of it that affected everyone.

It was always far away, like several rooms over from the room I was sitting in. And it would say only my name in the loudest form. For example, my mother was very verbally abusive back in her day and would scream my name all the time; and so would the ghost from a distance, but in the same tone as my mother would when she's angry.

On rare occasions it would call in my father's voice (angry tone as well), but... I always knew when my dad was home or not, so I'll just look up and wonder.

        Sorry about your hand. ):

Tealights, that is very interesting. Light voices usually mean lighter , friendlier energy,
heavy voices mean the opposite. Here in Ireland we get a lot of middle range voices. Odd, isn't it?

Thank you for you consideration about my hand. :) <3

Im sorry to hear about your Ma, and your Pa.

      Wow, that's creepy.
Never experiences voices. Never actually saw a ghost either.
What we experienced were doors slamming, then loud bangs around the house. The feeling something was in the room holding us and then there's scents of things.
Things that were very abnormal to simply happen at your home on any given night! lol

Nah, it happened during the day too, but I was too young to realized it was abnormal for the years I grew up there. I just got use to it, and ignored the voices when I knew no one was home.

I don't believe in ghosts. With the amount of people who have died on this earth, if ghosts existed we would see them all the time. There would be turf wars over which ghost could haunt a particular place.

    It's just not feasible.

Thats my point. If they were real there would be sightings or run-ins whatever all the time. The fact that it's rare, given how many people have died, should tell you something.

i am sorry if you may not believe in a higher power. i do. believe what you want, but anyone that has died is happier in death. just know that and please stay happy. life is important. it is amazing, but sadly enough death happens and we cannot experience life after death without going through life, but after death life is the sweetest and best thing in the world. never be sad for the dead. be there for the living. be sad if you want if you lost someone, but please remember how sweet and happy the dead truly are. also remember that life is important not only for the living, but those that would lose a loved one if someone were taken.

Ah. Yes my beliefs are a bit odd. It's basically this:

The world and universe make no sense to me. We are born, we are here for a while, then we are gone.

Yet we have what we percieve as rational thought.

Something, little pieces, big pieces of the story to life are missing. Honestly think rationally about life and it makes zero sense.

Someone knows more, I'm not it, so Imma side with God. Not a religious fairy diety in the sky, maybe just something that knows more about this shit than i do.

So yep I will be on Gods volleyball team. You??

One of the most interesting things about the universe is no two people percieve things the same way.

We can look at the exact same event and see completely different things.

When that happens what should we conclude? That both observers were correct? That one was correct and the other mistaken, or that neither are correct? What ramifications does that have on the event itself?

Speaking of the universe ... how did that come about? Who created it? Why are we here, are we alone? Not to start questioning aliens, but there's so much to be explained that simply isn't yet.

No, ghosts make no sense and have no purpose. The paranormal has no evidence to show for. It's always hear say, fake sounds/videos, stories, but never anything irrefutable. It's just the human imagination creating things that are not really happening. We've all done it.

Well, I asked if YOU believe. You don't and that's fine.

My dad said his grandmother was in the room when he woke up, but he was not scared. He also said that on the news one day they were talking of a missing girl, and he went out to the garage for some reason and a little hovering girl phantom was out there looking lost. My nana when she was going through a hard time remembers the smell of her dad when he used to smoke cigars letting her know everything would be okay. I have seen a ghost coming into a grave, a ghost in my room of a little girl, and a fading ghost in the hall way. I cannot really say why they are not in heaven and still on Earth, but I think ghosts really do exist.

Well, regarding both the universe and death ... we know very little.
I'm reading a lot about religion and the paranormal as a connection. Don't tell me it's like the republican/democratic thing where if you are hardcore in one party you go right with what that party says. lol
Or if you don't believe in God you can't believe in ghosts. That's very close minded. (Not attacking anyone in particular)

How does the possibility of the afterlife or ghosts need to have a connection with religion? Man/women were here before we practiced religion and we seriously don't know how we got here or who put us here. Just because religion honors the dead and most stick their God as the maker and who you meet doesn't mean it's true or not, but doesn't mean ghosts have any connection to it. For all we know and if they do exist maybe they have nothing to do with Gods or religion. Could just be something that just happens to certain people when they die.

I can't explain what happens after we die and neither can anyone else. Before we were born we were nothing, but were to be. Could it be something like that when you die?

Hey you never know. They could be something of which we don't understand and not the people or person's we thought they were. For example - that ghost is my uncle (or something) because they look like them and "haunt" the house he once lived in, yet it could just be another kind of being that took his look when he died.

I believe in ghosts, surely. I’ve had some paranormal encounters my self. One time when I was with my cousins in their basement, we heard a knock that led to the other side of the basement. We rushed upstairs and asked everyone if they pranked us but they said they had no knowledge of anyone going down there to scare us. Another one was pretty recent. I was downstairs watching Netflix and saw a shadow figure in the corner of my eye. I bet there are more I experienced but can not recall them.

I get that, but how many people have you seriously talked to about it with?
I'm sure the topic of ghosts would rarely come up if you're talking in passing with someone.

Also keep in mind a lot of people keep certain things private because of what others might think.

I know a guy who owned an automobile shop. Nearly every day he would come to open the shop and things would be moved around. He'd blame his employees for it.
Lights would go off and on constantly. He hired electricians who couldn't find any issues with wiring.
Finally his cameras actually picked up glowing lights moving from one room to the garage bay. He passes all of it off as explainable yet he couldn't explain how! lol

Thanks for posting, Recluded and respect your your personal opinion. Can't say I don't blame you for your stance.
