No. People made up God so they could explain why their crops dried up and their kid died of typhoid. Now that we have actual scientific solutions a make-believe master of the universe is antiquated and unnecessary.

Hey, it was a miracle, God was totally on your side. If you know Him as your Saviour give Him the thanks, if not, then except Him as your Saviour, this may be the way He is calling you to Him. Praise the Lord for your success.

I read the bible... Its a book. Harry Potter for example is a book, doesnt mean its 100% real!!! :/ i dont believe in god, my opinion but by saying read the bible you are saying that it is all true considering it has been writen from mouth to mouth stories/tales. There's no hard proof behind any of it i mean Jesus wasnt even born on 25th December!! We dont know when he was born! Just a thought though, please dont hate me :/ xx

I would never hate you for saying that. From a Christian's point of view the bible is hope and a guidance to live life fully, compassionatly, and lovingly. The bible gives us hope that there is a God that loves us and will always be there for us. He's something to believe in.

You have never actually read it cover to cover.

"something to believe in" is not in itself a logical conclusion to prove existence.

Go read that book. No, don't tell us that you have. You can't say that you have read it when you're just spouting out the parts that your family, friends or religious leader(s) read to you. Take the time to go and read it.

It's a collection of stories written by uneducated people. Contrary to what religious people, trying to delude you and keep you brainwashed will state; the bible does not reflect on anything unknown from the boundaries of the people who wrote it. There is no insight to be gained. No, there wasn't.

The universe is amazing. That we are alive in it, equally amazing.

Do you even stop to consider the lack of thought behind this age old statement?

Try opening your mind, allow your curiosity to ask the questions that your faith just gives God credit for. Allow yourself to 'think'.

God is 5th (or more) dimensional being that created this universe and created an "operating system" to run it. The whole "Ancient Aliens" thing was God messing around with early humans. He left us in our universe and moved on to create another 3rd or maybe even a 4th dimmensional universe a few thousand years ago. Religions were all indirectly made by God. There is a group of immortal beings here on Earth that partially consist of, and have control over, a undetectible and potentially omnipresent type of energy. I call them Atlantians. This is my current far-fetched theory anyway. I'm not speaking against any beliefs or religions, I am just looking for things that make sense.

Adopting modern terminology and manipulative pseudoscience does not mean that your words have "truth" in them.

The one thing that I do like about your post is that it is a good example of how religion has 'evolved' (no pun intended) to absorb scientific information and attempt to remain current.

I think this is exactly how religion has changed over the centuries, by mimicking scientific terms and ideas. And then, later, claiming that God knew. "It's in the Bible", right? Proof!

Go back to the first testament. That's your belief. Though, it's unlikely that you have read it. No, don't rant about your "New Testament". You can't edit the book, altering your religion, to suit modern understanding of science.

It was God's word. Stick to it. You can't edit it. Logic.

If you go by the belief god can not be dead since he was never mortal. He was always a god. Now if you speak of Jesus well yeah they killed him but he later came back to life. That is the son of god not god though. I think you could kill a Greek god if you mean that. I do not think killing a Greek god is so easy to do though. We also have some of the Indian god that like the elephant creature. I am not sure if those gods can be killed. So which god are you referring to?

No, God is just a figment of the imagination. People use a person that lives on top of a cloud as an excuse for everything that doesn't go right. And homosexuality according to God is a sin and you should go to hell for being born with it but what really gets me is that people say that he loves everyone. Well obviouslly not or there wouldn't be a hell. And when people say everything happens. For a reason that is complete and utter bullshit. Your saying that what happened to the twin towers happened for a reason? Oh so the reason is to kill almost 3,000 and start a war that would kill even more people. Where's the reasoning behind that?

"In the 18th century, a revolution in thought, known as the Enlightenment, dragged us away from the superstition and brutality of the Middle Ages toward a modern age of science, reason and democracy. It changed everything. If it wasn't for the Enlightenment, you wouldn't be reading this right now. You'd be standing in a smock throwing turnips at a witch. Yes, the Enlightenment was one of the most significant developments since the wheel. Which is why we're trying to bollocks it all up.

Welcome to a dangerous new era - the Unlightenment - in which centuries of rational thought are overturned by idiots. Superstitious idiots. They're everywhere - reading horoscopes, buying homeopathic remedies, consulting psychics, babbling about "chakras" and "healing energies", praying to imaginary gods, and rejecting science in favour of soft-headed bunkum. But instead of slapping these people round the face till they behave like adults, we encourage them. We've got to respect their beliefs, apparently."

I didn't vote. Many New Agers, like the famous Shirley MacClaine, believe that they are indeed God or at least a portion or divine spark therefrom. I believe there could be many gods, some false, some true, according to the revelation of Oahspe. I am also interested in the concept of ancient astronauts being taken for "gods" by primitive humans and worshipping them accordingly. I believe that is a very strong possibility. Oahspe sort of echos this idea, but according to it the ancient astronauts were spirits.

If there was a God. Or in fact, any Gods, like I said before..I do not believe in anything in that matter, but if I were to at least see an angel or demon or something in that area I would possibly start beleaving. But, right now, I have not seen anything to make me believe. So in my mind I will never. I have the feeling that there could be a God because of what @ItDuz said. All the people who are believing in God or in the Devil are just wasting their time....>.>. Unless someone shows up sent from one of them I will believe. All i've learned from movies, and family members, is that Jesus lived and the Devil lived MANY MANY MANY year's ago. So, how would we know if they were here and did have those powers...?? Yeah, the "Bible" says they were real and stuff, but it's just a book..c'mon now...>.>

"forgiving"?!?! "Burn in hell for eternity" The most intense pain imaginable. Where does forgiving come into play. Forgiving is what you tell yourself your power is when you fuck up and snort that drug or spread your legs. You'll be planted in the earth to decompose and become part of the ecosystem again just like everyone else. Burn for eternity. Give me a fucking break. I didn't believe that as a 5 year old!
