I don't really believe in karma per se, however, I think that it is only natural that if a person acts in a certain way (and doesn't have the money to get away with it), that their lives will follow a certain path. The way a person acts often reflects their character and who they are as a person, and if they treat others like shit and are horribly rude to everyone, they are likely to be very negative people and negative people tend to follow certain paths in their life that being negative and hateful will lead you down.
Of course there are many exceptions, such as CEOs that treat their employees like shit, but I do take to the phrase that life is 10% of what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. Naturally, the way you react to life will affect your circumstances.
In the practical sense, I don't believe in the spiritual karma so much as I believe in the natural order of the world and human psychology. If karma were real and true, we wouldn't have people like Ben Bernanke living prosperous, awesome lives after putting hundreds of thousands out of work. Aside from that, us regular people are still subjected to the consequences of our actions. That's what "karma" does exist, action --> consequence.
Yes I do. Karma is basically the idea that you get out what you put in, and if you're constantly outputting shit sooner or later it's gonna come back to bite you in the ass. Wheras being a good person may not be too rewarding in the short term, but eventually the right people notice and then it becomes a useful tool.
I don't believe in karma. But what goes around does come around, I've seen it with my own tits.
I don't, no. I think it's yet another way of trying to make people who don't behave well, behave well.
Sadly I have found that karma does not work directly. Example- I always (when I could safely) pulled companion animals hit by cars out of the road. Was that done for me? No, in fact she was literally pulverized. You can be good for YOU but never, ever expect anyone to do good TO you.
I believe in karma yes. Though I have never seen it happens. I do not believe it always happens on it owns. People can be good people and still be treated like shit by everyone. People can be shit and still treated wonderful by anyone they meet.
i believe in Karma....because everything you do makes an impression in your own brain and creates who you are....if you are doing nasty shit to people...well aat the same time you are filling your own brain with nasty shit and creating your own personality at the same time...this personality then affects others who then treat you almost exactly how you treated others...its brilliant really...for instance say i committ violence against people...well i am also traumatizing myself and filling my brain with violent thoughts..i then will become such a mean and nasty person that others will want to committ violence against me
I believe in karma. Id say im a naturally happy person, bcuz of good karma. Ive noticed that when you stop caring about people's pain or feelings is when you're in for a world of hurt. I care a lot and always want to help others and it makes me happy. I have found true love at 36 yrs old bcuz of good karma. I'm in a good place. I just learned i have purple/indigo aura.
Thankyou for all your responses. I am a great believer in karma. That whatever you do bad or indeed good karma will either pay you back for bad that a person does or reward you for good that we do, even if it takes her years, she will eventually get you, or indeed find you to reward you I was just curious about other people's thoughts on this. Also thankyou in advance for any future comments. xx
Yes...what goes around comes around...No one has a perfect life or everything they want for that matter...If you mistreat or cheat others some day (maybe years from now) you will suffer the same fate...No one gets away with everything..
''Karma" was an early attempt to interlink natural laws with [the development of] ethical laws.
Natural laws were not, at that time, clearly established.
Sir Issac Newton defined the Laws of Motion in 1687. Newton's Third Law states:
"Law III: To every action there is always an equal and opposite reaction: or the forces of two bodies on each other are always equal and are directed in opposite directions."
The concept of "Karma" should be more clearly defined in order to conform with this.
