Do you cry/get goosebumps during beautiful moments?
I think it's normal, but curious how many people experience this, or if it's a general human experience... provided your soul isn't completely dead.
Things that get me going:
-a touching/wholesome/heart-warming scene in a movie, or one with loss and I feel their pain
-a favorite song of mine comes on, and when lyrics hit that I really identify with, I feel it.
-a favorite movie, coupled with a soundtrack/songs that are equally great or meaningful to me
-something physical that's moving, like witnessing something beautiful in nature like a gorgeous sunset, a creature, or manmade like architecture
The best part is that after I experience this, I feel so much better. So much more whole, at peace, open to warmth and kindness. It's as if all the frustration and divisiveness inside me melts away.
Except the problem is, it's not easy to just 'jump right back in' and do it again. But when it happens, life feels so much more worth it. Rewarding. Those burning hot tears after watching such a sad, yet poignant scene in a movie? Yes, it's those.
Like everything is worth it, just because you experienced this one thing, or feel this way. At least that's how I feel.
You?
