    I don't understand the point. Sounds like your playing games and just trying to be manipulative.

    You assume your objective is interpreted as the same thing by all readers. And how do you determine when someone is lying, especially if it is an opinion based question?

      It's not a bad thing. It's not a game, it's a method. Don't hate.

      What do you think polls and surveys are, anyway? They are methods of collecting raw data, the data is then interpreted. How is data interpreted? By knowing your subjects and assessing reliability.

    I don't mind anyone knowing which polls I've posted because they're generally only there to make people laugh anyway.

    No. Generally when I post a poll it's to find out where people stand on an issue.

      P.S. You were missed. From a pack mentality point of view, it's great to have you back - you, me, joe and Danny are going to have to do a lot of howling at the moon and peeing up against trees to celebrate this.

        Glad to know I was missed :)

        But I'm doing good. I'm excited for the future. In my mandatory vacation (haha) I've been reading, repairing an old notebook, making some final traveling plans for my B-Day (15 March!!) and basically doing anything to keep my mind off IIN. It's been torture keeping myself from making an alt and posting anyway. But I observed the ban and now I'm back on my favorite V-branded moniker :)

      Why? To find out things, like who's a liar or how smart or dumb people are. To get more honest answers sometimes. To get a more rounded answer to a larger question, because sometimes when you ask something bluntly people are not totally honest so sometimes it takes more than one poll to get a good answer. Sometimes just for my own personal amusement, it's quite entertaining to me to watch how people react to certain prompts.

    dappled, that's not what clandestine means. it means having a hidden aim or objective.

      hehe, I know, but it'd be difficult to be clandestine if everyone knew who the OP was. That's kind of what I was getting at, in a roundabout sort of way.

        Actually it wouldn't be difficult at all. It doesn't matter who makes the poll, it's what the hidden objective is that is the mystery.

          What outcome are you trying for, though? I know you wouldn't say this outright because it defeats the object of doing it. I'm just curious.

          Do you think the outcome is a reflection of how you feel about yourself?
