Do you fear old age?

Wrinkly skin, stiff joints, gray hair, and an abundance of wisdom, this is what we all (hopefully) have to look forward to. However, not everyone is too keen on joining the elderly. Do you fear old age?

If it were my choice, I'd remain young, but I don't fear it. 35
Yes, I want to stay young forever! 37
It's a part of life and I can accept that. 20
Nope, I'm actually looking forward to old age. 10
Too late, I'm already old. 6

I'm deathly afraid of getting old not grandma old because I can't see myself being that old to be honest but I guess I'm afraid of getting OLDER like the thought of being in my 30s that terrifys me because I start to wonder if by then I will have accomplished what I want to accomplish or at least be working towards it. Being in my 20s lately feeling that crippling weight of expectation of
adulthood on my shoulders, that's what I'm afraid of as I older and older it will completely weigh me down unless I achieve my goals.

This and I'm already there in my thirties, almost fourties, having accomplished none of my dreams and feeling depressed, anxious and suicidal.

I just don't like time pressure.
I fear not to become a better man, find someone to love and maybe start a family before it's too late. I don't mind dying some day but I don't want to die lonely and embittered.

I'm exactly the same, I want to do so much but feel as if I'm wasting every living moment not doing... something. When I die, I hope to be at peace and happy that I've done everything I've ever wanted to do.

Avoid sun exposure, spf 100 moisturizer, stress free life, healthy eating, physical fitness, vitamins and nutritional supplements. Only drink water ,occassional i drink fresh squeezed oj, plenty of sleep and rest. This is key to staying young. My parents are both 54yrs and they appear to be in mid 30s. Im 26yrs and I pass for under 18.

If i start to wither theres laser treatment and plastic surgery and hair dye. ha ha

I feel like I suddenly looked in the mirror and saw this old lady staring back at me. I panicked because I am still single. It's too late now to find love and all my friends think I am strange for thinking this way. What I find hard is being invisible to men. I couldn't imagine liking a younger man. That has an ick factor all it's own. And men my age gross me out. And any man I would be attracted to would vomit at the sight of me.
I was thought of as attractive when I was young. I had no confidence or self esteem so I didn't appreciate it at the time. Now I am almost 57. I can't accept my face as old, even though I have aged quite a bit. I live in the past and wish I could just time travel back and be young and with wisdom to fix things.
My single worst thing is that I have always had a double chin since I could remember. Even when I was thinner it was there. Now at 56, the double chin is now a turkey wattle. I can't afford ps but I can't live with this face. Also I live alone and work and am grateful I can work.
I have depression, OCD and ADHD. So I am a bag of mixed nuts. I can't afford plastic surgery, but what about the other non surgical procedures'?

I'm not exactly looking forward to all of the bodily dysfunctions but I find that old age kind of holds an aura of wisdom and that's appealing to me.

The two things I fear about old age are - sclerosis and mobillity! I want to be able to walk without a cane. And I don't want help with anything! And I want to remember all the memories i've had during those years. My grandmother had sclerosis (severe case) and i'm telling you. It's a nightmare. I loved my grandmother so much and I fellt really shit, when she said "Who are you?"

So yeah, I want to be mobile, to be able to drive my car (fast) and no sclerosis!

Nope. I think it would be interesting to say that I lived for a hundred years and to be a part of history.

I don't really think I'll live long enough to reach an 'old age', but if I did, I'd be very proud!
I watched this film called Strangers In Company
and it made me not fear getting old.
