Personally, yes, I find dreads very attractive indeed.

I had dreads for two years and I took really good care of them. They never smelled or made my face greasy or anything, they were just knotted hair. I miss them actually... but yeah, most people look at you and automatically think you're a dirty stoner :P I mean, I am a stoner.. but not a dirty one. Anyways, dreads look hot on just about everyone. I definitely got hit on way more with dreads haha.

Depends on who's wearing them. If the girl is pretty, fair enough then. The dreads might suit her.

If they are maintained well (not dirty or frizzy) then they are just as good as any other hairstyle/fad.
For some people with tight curly hair, it may be the most comfortable option.
