Do you find puns funny and can you make them?

I myself love puns and i find it exilerating when I find someone else who loves puns, sadly many people I know express a strong dislike for puns, to which I cannot explain why.

So, are puns funny and can you make puns?

If you're going to pick other, can you give us a genre of jokes you prefer to make?

    I love them so much I wrote a broadway show about puns! It's a play on words.

    Most puns are so cheesy. Lame. Then people who make a pun always seem to repeat it over and over as if I didn't hear ya the first time....jeez, shut up. I'm not laughing becuase it wasn't funny, not because I didn't hear you.

    I was in first place running in a backwards race, til I tripped and landed right on my butt. Needless to say, I fell behind. I was totally bummed. (Sorry, I couldn't help myself!)

        I worked my ass off training for that race. I was so anal about strictly following my training schedule. And for good measure, I wore my hair in buns to keep it out of my face whilst running that race.

    In my opinion, puns are stupid. Funny puns are so rare, that its not even worth trying to make them. Maybe i hate them a lot because my dad makes so many terrible ones.

    Some puns are genuinely clever and make me laugh. Others are cheesy and terrible, and make me cringe. I can sometimes improvise them, but I need so kind of input to start from, like if somebody where to say something perfectly innocuous, I could sometimes make a pun out of it.

    But seriously there's nothing better than laughing your head off when you hear a good one. You know that laugh that you just cant stop from happening..it just bubbles out.

    Try Piers Anthony-Xanth novels, they're great fun, .., and Terry Pratchett-Discworld novels, good reading!

    If you like puns, watch Stewart Francis' stand-up. I usually cringe at puns but he somehow makes me laugh at them.
