Do you get rape and death threats online?

Recently there has been alot of talk about prominent women online who have been the target of rape and/or death threats through Twitter, etc. And the implication is that this is a common problem. But just how common is it? Help me find out through this unscientific survey.

    I'm a man. Yes, I've had rape and death threats online before. It didn't enter my head to be actually frightened by an internet troll, and the rape threats even turned me on, but I probably would have been frightened if there was a reason to believe the person was a real threat to me.

        Male people. I presume bored kids, which is why I'd never feel genuinely threatened.

      It does not count. You was asking for trouble when you came here. Your behavior was provocative in some way because of that. This site is a territory devoted to freedom of expression.

    I used to get those when I was a regular on DeviantART, YouTube, and Meez. It was mostly from teenagers with nothing else better to do.

    I was never threated online. Especially by rape and killing. I have never have fb friends from my own country. So I don't need to fear the threats from across the border.

      That's not what the numbers here say. As it stands right now, we have 2,1,1,11,1,1,2,5. That means 20% of women and 33% of men responding get rape threats. Of course the numbers are too low to really except much accuracy.

    I've got death threats before but not rape, as far as I recall. Unless, incidents like "I hope you get raped" count. Context: discussion about access to contraception
