Do you hate letter grades?

I HATE letter grades! What is the point? Isn't a number score perfect?? I think so!! It's exact-x amount of points, y amount correct, z amount incorrect-SIMPLE, and precise.

What do you think??

    I think that the letter grade system is just another inexact system used by Americans and people emulating Americans thinking all things American are good! Lots of things American are not so good! I agree with you - numeric grading is more precise. Also, the metric system should be adopted by everyone!

    I like having both. I like to know what rank I hit and also because I'm not used to the grading over here so sometimes I'm not fully sure how well/bad i did.

    I see what you are saying; that all letter grades are classifications based upon numeric ranges. And, to be honest, I agree. Why say that a 94% and a 96% are both an A, when you can tell them the actual number they got? Even though one of them won't like it.
