Do you have to touch your own period blood when you wear pads

Some people on Youtube were arguing that divacups are gross because you have to be in contact with your own blood, and pads are better. But in my experience you do have to (sorry if this is TMI) wipe yourself while sitting on the toilet if you wear pads....the pad doesn't absorb ALL of the blood. Is it supposed to? HAS MY WHOLE LIFE BEEN A LIE.

Better to have to touch your own than someone else's.

If youre really squeamish you could just wear disposable gloves for either method when you wipe/clean the diva cup. I don't have trouble with this personally, with the birth control I take I rarely get periods and when I do they are very light. Yay drugs!

I'm confused... do you not use toilet paper to wipe your excess blood not picked up by the pad? If you use toilet paper you shouldn't be touching it.

Pads are so you dont bleed all over your pants and everywhere you sit. Its kind of like when they put diaper on children. You still have to wipe them off when you give them a new clean diaper.

Wow, I'm so happy I have a light flow and have no clue what the hell is going on here.

The pad, when you are sitting on the toilet, hasn't absorbed the blood still on/in your vag area YET. You still should just wipe off the blood "resting" in your vag while you sit with a flushable wipee or baby wipes, because just using toilet paper can not only get some little toilet paper fuzzies left over if they get in contact with some semi-dry blood on your area, but they just dont get the job done. using wipes can clean up all the blood currently "resting" in your boji area and then you should probably just get a new pad. also, even if your flow is weak or light, i suggest using very thick pads, like the ones they give to people who had babies even, because when you sleep you release the most blood due to your conscious not blocking flow (which btw is possible, numerous times I got the "vagina boogers" (clear/white goop that you get before ur period) while i was at school, and i felt my period coming so i just thought about not letting blood get out and doing those tightening yoga excersize w/e for your bogi, and i didnt drop any blood till i got home) hope this info helps. i'm guessing ur new to the whole period bussiness?

The male version: Dingleberries, on your ass hairs, poo stained manties and precum drying in your boxers. If you do not flap your peen enough, urine as well. That one is not as bad, for small traces of urine excretes in our mouths, after we urinate.

See? Excretion causes all kinds of "Ahhh"... Regardless of genitalia.

Sorry, but I wouldn't compare dingleberries, poo or jizz with period blood at all. There is a whole lot more involved and a whole lot more stigma about menstrual blood that causes the issues some people have with it.
People don't react the same way if you have blood on your hand from a cut on your finger and if you have blood on you because you just bleed through a pair of jeans.

I have a family member in her 50s who is still apparently freaked out by anything concerning her vajayjay, but period blood doesn't bother me too much.

If you use winged pads, you shouldn't have to touch your blood. If you use wingless pads, there's a possibility that you're not replacing your pads often enough.

If you're touching your own blood you're doing it wrong. Do you get pee allover your hands while wiping after using the loo? Do you shit allover your hands while wiping after a number two? You don't know what you're doing. Just use birth control to take your period away.
