Cats are great. I'm a dog person, but I wouldn't turn my nose up at a cat.
I love cats! Especially the ones with somewhat dog like personalities like my Siamese. He's my best friend!
Yes, a cat be a best friend just like a dog can be a best friend. It works about the same as with a dog. I am bipetual and really love dogs a lot so the Siamese breed fits my personality and lifestyle very well. I would love to add a dog to my little family. Andrew is very good with dogs. Ideally another Siamese and a Sheltie or Poodle would be good.
Do you have any pets Robbie?
I love cats, and all animals. I've always had at least one cat growing up:)
I love them to bits. Had ten once. Down to one and a half now: (one full time, and a tomcat who thinks he lives with me but actually belongs to someone else).
Sure, I like lots of animals. Hopefully I'll be able to own one someday...
Sometimes I feel almost desperate for a dog as a pet. A cat and a dog together make a great tag team!
Yes, I have one blue point(but his papers said lilac point) Siamese cat named Trevor Andrew. I want to get a dog too, preferably a Poodle or a Shetland Sheepdog. Ideally I would like two cats, preferably Siamese, and at least one dog.
I love affectionate intelligent animals!
Yeah, pets in general can be quite awesome :)
Unfortunately my apartment doesn't allow pets...
I love inter species friendships!
I had a dog when I was growing up who was friends with Guinea pigs, rabbits, ducks, roosters, cats and even had a heart for sparrows and field mice. But snakes, Norway rats and opossums were as good as dead with her in the yard. Her name was Diamond and she was the best dog!
Meow? I much prefer dogs. Cats are kinda like other peoples kids. They're cute for a little while but then I just want it the hell away from me.
I find friends with dogs treat them like children, and they are annoying as hell. Even more annoying than children.
At least cats leave you alone some/much of the time. Dogs are too needy. And stupid compared to cats.
My problem is with certain cat people; the nasty ass ones who always say, "cats clean themselves" or "you can't train a cat." Yuck, licking isn't cleaning it's just spreading drool. I've been washing my best friend since he was a baby and he knows some basic dog obedience better than a lot of dogs. I'm hella proud of my Siamese dream cause he's not lazy, dirty or stupid!
I went to visit the dogs and cats at my local NSPCA and the saddest thing is dirtiest, stinkiest most dandruffy cats were the ones who were most desperate for affection and lap time. Stupid people don't train them to tolerate proper care that makes it hard on the cats. I felt sorry for them but I can only get so close when they're all dirty, greasy and full of dander. :(
Growing up, all the cats I knew were so nasty and I think that has something to do with how I view them now. But I have met a few that I loved because of their dog-like mentality. And 90% of cat owners that I know are filthy people who don't clean the litter box very often or just leave cat shit wherever it lies and its so gross. I'll always be a dog person but there are some awesome cats out there.
I do get a little sad face when I see the poor things waiting for adoption in the little windows :( putting their paw up to the glass like please take me home :( poor babies.
Plenty of dog owners allow their dogs to poop and pee on the floor in the house too. Yuck!
Right on! I guess I just get frustrated because it's not that hard to teach kittens to tolerate bath time. I literally start the training within the second or third day after they come home with me. Give em a bath every week whether they need it or not and by the time they're six months old it's no big deal and you can drop to once a month.
I was raised as more of a dog person in a primarily doggie home so I guess old habits die hard. Thank God! I've even bathed rats before. It doesn't have to be a big deal. I think a lot of animals might not like baths but when they're clean and receiving more love and affection they're happier. :)
