I myself don't care much for Christmas, infact I hate it. Christmas songs in supermarkets are the worst it's like they contain subliminal messages you go in for 2 or 3 items but you find yourself with a trolley full of stuff. So how many of you feel the same way or differently?

It's impossible not to think of everyone having a great day while I spend it alone but this year I'm adopting a different attitude. I am going to spoil the hell out of myself and I'm going to have a better day than everyone else. Ha!
I disagree with christmas haters. Even if the holiday-specific celebrations aren't your thing the materialist, guilt based chaos hidden by moral values and happiness is really a perfect embodiment of whats great about modern culture.
I don't blame the Grinch for stealing Christmas. -- Mindless happiness get annoying.
I think Halloween is the best holiday ever. Especially since every year we throw a huge party. I have more fun on Halloween than Christmas and I'd pick dressing up and having fun with friends over getting free gifts anyday. I always have.
I love Christmas but what I prefer is how we get wild onthe New Year's eve. The New Year is much more celebrated here.
I'm starting to find it irritating. I hate when people say "Merry Christmas" without stopping to consider that some people don't celebrate Christmas. I hate how the media only seems to care about Christmas and you never see specials on Hanukah, Kwanza, or any other religions. I hate having to sign cards to people I don't know or to relatives I don't care about. I hate how during past christmases I had to get up early and open presents with relatives I'm not fond of and having to eat a holiday meal with them. Which is why this year I'm glad we are taking a different approach. Instead of giving gifts we will give money that way we can get exactly what we want without be disappointed and I'm not going to each christmas lunch or dinner with them.
I do like the fact that there are sales, but often times stores haven't properly restocked their shelves and I do like the fact that we get a week and some days off.
Also, like you said in your poll, Christmas was originally a pegan holiday and I hate how christians ignore that part of history and act like they invented it. I saw somewhere that Jesus apparently wasn't born in the winter and that he was born in the warmer months.
