Do you like sports?

I know a lot of people like sports. It's as important as society-altering news to some people. There's also people, like myself, who just can't grasp the interest in it. Don't get me wrong, I think they're as wonderful as the next interest in that they lead people to make positive choices and give people something to look forward to- I just can't make myself interested. Anyway, to get back on topic, I wonder just how passionate this community is about sports. Also, if you wish, you could state your opinion in detail.

    I like sports but I don't like when people are too invested in it. It's just a game....

        Yeah, I guess I just don't understand that level of dedication whether it's fans or players. I like sports in a fun way...to me, it's not that serious. When it crosses that line and gets way too serious then it becomes no fun. (for me) I don't see how it's fun for others at that level either, seems more stressful than fun really. It irritates me but it's none of my business. I get that.

    The only sport I can tolerate watching is golf. I find other sports a complete bore.

    I love baseball and Gymnastics( I was in gymnastics and softball for many years, quit due because of too many injuries...) But those are really the only sports I enjoy. Everyone I know thinks I'm crazy for not liking football...I've tried to make myself like it, but I just can't get into it for some reason. lol

    I like sports, but not all of them. The term really means very little. Sport is such a broad term. Football, fishing, and fencing are all sports. And so is poker, pool, and polo.

    Even bobsledding is a sport. Are you telling me that you don't like sliding down snowy hills?

      I should have specified. Sports in which you keep score and/or compete as a general rule of thumb.

        Okay, so as long as I'm playing for money, poker is a sport. And all card games now qualify under those rules. But not sport fishing, unless it's to see who can catch the most in weight and you fish with another person.

        Now who's up for some disk golf? Three points if you hit the tree on you first toss.

        Perhaps you're more of a dart player? Pinball? Yes! Pinball. I got the high score down at the arcade, been there for three weeks now. Wanna play?

    I like to PLAY sports, not watch them. I develop A.D.D. watching sports. I can do that for maybe 10 minutes.

    I'm usually not really into watching any sports, but I will watch major sporting events with others just for the fun atmosphere (Superbowl, World Cup, Olympics etc.) I also don't like playing most sports just because I'm extremely uncoordinated and unathletic. I played in a local kids soccer league but I was never very good at it. Otherwise I only really played sports in gym class at school, and was terrible at most of them. I enjoyed a few because my skill level was more mediocre-okay with them, and I could at least put in some effort and do a decent job. Usually though I just stand on the side and try not to do anything, mostly because of the people who take gym class way too seriously and will flip out on you for any little screwup.

    I absolutely love cross country. I sucked at this sport when I was in high school, but now I could probably place well in an open-invite competition.

    I've been trying to get myself more interested in sports. I do like soccer and I love marital arts, if that can count as a sport.

      You shouldn't have been thumbed down for that. You didn't say anything negative about it and I specifically asked who does and does NOT like sports.
