Do you make it super cold when you sleep?

So during the day I run my AC at around 75 (I live in South Florida where I run my AC literally all but 3 or 4 days a year), but at night time I like it super cold. I put the AC on 69, turn on fans, and even sleep naked. If not, I can't sleep because I feel too hot. Anyone else like this?

I love being cold at night, then bundling up with blankies and my trusty house cat.

Yeah, even it it ain't cold I don't want to get out of bed or even move when my cat's lying on my chest and we're nose to nose.
        :-)

I feel like in this context your cat is a euphism for someone ; )

Nope, not a euphemism for anyone. My cat is my blue point Siamese. He's on my profile pick. I'm reasonably happy single. I always know where my remote control is!

I cannot tolerate sleeping in the cold. I was able to last year, but all it does now is add to my on and off insomnia. If it works for you, OP, keep doing it.

    • Yeah but when it's like 85 degrees and humid as hell overnight you actually sleep better ?

I actually do. For some reason I prefer to sweat than freeze.

  • Where in Florida? Sorry, had to ask. I like the warmth. My family makes cold at night too. I often have to wear socks and cover myself up.

I like to be snuggly in my blankies. Like last night I forgot to shut one of my windows and it got pretty chilly. Lovely.

    • I'm the same way. I slept great last night. I always sleep far better in colder weather than in warmer. I don't understand how people sleep when it's real hot.

I can't sleep at all of its too warm. Honesty I sweat like a pigbird. It's not awesome.

You should move. Such a waste in energy.

    • Florida actually uses one of the least amounts of energy per capita because we don't have to use heat throughout much of the state, or even none at all here in South Florida. So I don't think blasting my AC is doing much harm.

That is no excuse to waste it elsewhere. It's like driving when you can easily walk just because you haven't driven as much as the average person.

        • You seriously think me running my AC to make it 4-5 degrees colder than most is going to kill the planet? I am pretty sure there are much bigger polluters out there that we should be concerned about.

You missed my point. It isn't about the others rate of consumption.
