I miss the friends I had and I miss the age when time didn't seem to matter. But I don't miss school itself and I certainly don't miss homework.
Also I don't miss the insecure teenager I used to be. Okay, maybe a litte. Life felt more meaningfull back then.
I just graduated, like 4 months ago. Honestly I'm glad that's it is over, I don't like cliques and I feel more comfortable being in a world where I can be anyone I want to be and not be judged by past actions and such. So far community college is pretty fun.
Where is the option to miss high school.....??
I liked hs at the time, but I hate the memories now.
I miss high school because I like my teachers and my school friends at school, getting an education from the teachers as they were helpful, nice and friendly except people who bully students because the bully is not a good person.
I miss my close group of friends. College is better in many ways, the only difference is the lack of friends, and life (meaning the world beyond the walls high school) hit me like a thunderclap in college.
Me and four close friends would meet each morning in the fourth floor north side bathroom. We found we were all morning shitters so that's where we started our day right after getting off the buses at 7:30 a.m. Most of the time we were able to get adjacent stalls and while we emptied our bowels, we talked and bonded before we had to split up and go to out classes which were located so widely throughout the 3,000 student school that we would rarely see each other the rest of the day. It was our sanctuary, of sorts, because the hallways were just too crowded and closely supervised by teachers to the point that you could have thought of it as a prison.
I miss high school and I graduated this past May. I rather worry about homework, guys, and tests than worry about the real world. I haven't even seen my friends in months now. :( But I do somewhat look forward to getting a job and making my own money.
I miss being able to just hang out with all my friends in one place everyday. Being able to sleep in class and not really get in trouble... Wish I could do that at work lol I miss the feeling of not giving a shit because you didn't have to give a shit. No bills to worry about, just cigarette money and occasionally food money if my friends fridge was empty. Being care free and all that.
I miss high school in the sense that I miss the person I was back then care free, loud and laughing all day with my.best friend about absolutely nothing. I miss bunking biology just because I could. I miss European history lessons and how I would come alive in them. I miss writing geography notes and drawing diagrams in the maths lesson. I miss the rush of doing things that I wasn't supposed to do, now I do the right things all the time just so I can maintain this image, it's exhausting.
In short I guess I can say what I miss about high school is not giving a fuck, life is easier that way. Now I give a million fucks and I'm unhappy.
Miss chilling with friends every day, other than that, nope! College is better in my opinion.
I kind of miss the begging part of it... when it seemed like their was a point to it (the ending not so much)
I missed the exercise I got running class to class. Miss bullshitting with friends in-between class. Do I miss starving all fucking day since I had to wait till lunch and shitty school lunches? Fuck no I don't. I honestly think I was burning way too many calories since I would eat nonstop for hours and still feel like a gaping hole in my stomach it was fucking awful. I still hungry now but I think it slowed down a bit. I also remember dating, and naughty truth and dare games which were fun as hell!
