Do you separate lights and darks in the laundry?
I do it, it’s a hassle. Just wondering if I’m wasting my time. I already use Woolite and cold water.

Modern clothing doesn't really face that issue anymore; unless you're using bleach of course.
There are a few brands that will recommend that you separate your laundry still and those will show it on the tags of their clothing. Generally speaking, this is a thing of the past. I've only had it ruin *one* shirt in my 13 years of doing laundry and it was a yellow dress shirt.
Never done it. Unless I’m washing my pillows Bc I throw bleach in there.
i just bought my first laundry machines last april
ive always brought it downtown and dropped it off but the laundromat that did that stopped after a couple decades
so i just toss all my clothes and whatnot in and send it
I don't, and I've never had any issues. Although, your mileage may vary. Just remember to use color catchers.
I don't often do laundry, but if I do, no separation, and nothing bad has happened yet.
No, I segregate by fungus and bacteria. Socks get their own buckets, as do shit/piss soaked underwear.
Sorry 1WeirdGuy - even if your wife usually does that chore, I think you'd be wise to do it at least once before she's suddenly not there one day and you need to do it yourself (because she's out-of-state or abroad visiting family for a week or so, having hospital treatment and needs her pyjamas washing, on holiday with her girlfriends, etc. - or if you happen to be away and need to do your laundry yourself, at a public launderette or at a friend's house, and want to avoid embarrassment).
