Do you shower in the dark?

i didn't know anyone did shower in the dark

id probably slip and die being me...

When I shower with my boyfriend I like to do it in the dark. Not too dark, like candlelight. It's more romantic.

How funny! I ALWAYS SHOWER IN THE DARK. I started doing it in the winter when it was dark out in the am and I didn't want the light from the bathroom to wake up my husband who was still in bed. Then I just got used to it and even when he's not there I just figured why waste the electricity? It's not like it's pitch black in there. I don't even have a light bulb in there now. How funny. I always wondered what people would think if they knew I never used the light to shower, i love this site. So yeah, I've been showering in the dark since 2006. I also shower in the nude.

im afraid of the dark

Every now and then when I'm home alone.

It sets a very enjoyable mood. One time I was at my friends house (shes in her middle years, pretty well off) and using her guest house. Her guest house had a bathroom based off of nature, and had a lot of earth tones, marble walls and real stone for the walls and floor of the shower. There was an showerhead high up on the ceiling that sprinkled like rain, and when it hit the stone it smelled like you were in the middle of a waterfall or a rainforest. it was.... magical.

But every time i shower in the dark at home i like to remember that shower, lmao.

I like it dark, but I also want to be able to see. In my bathroom I have a little night light that changes color and is really pretty. The light it produces is just bright enough that I can see objects, and the constant color change sets a nice mood. I know where everything is in my shower, so that doesn't give me any trouble.

Yeah I do, but my mom always turns the light on when she walks past the bathroom :(

For markDh. Even if it was dark you should know your home/shower well enough to know what was what. My shampoo bottle is shaped in a different way than the conditioner at least :P

And yes candlelight is nice. I've never showered in the dark but I would actually like to try this now!

I tried that once. I fell because I slipped on the soap :( plus, I couldent see anything.

I rather take shower while door is open.

Every Halloween I do. There's a little orange nightlight in the bathroom that's quite eerie, and it's just bright enough for me to be able to see the shampoo bottles.

I tried it, even knowing how clumsy I am and busted my ass lol I like the lights dim, but total darkness didn't work out so well for me. haha

I shower in the dark at the end of every day. I've found its an excellent way to close myself off from the word for a little while with no external stimuli and just relax.

Showering in the dark is actually quite relaxing. I've done it a few times, but the fear of slipping due to lack of light to see stopped me from doing so any further. ._.

I prefer to shower in the dark. I put a little blue night light in my bathroom mainly for when I shower. I like to sit down in the shower and position the shower and temperature so I can relax and close my eyes and meditate and use my imagination to rejuvenate myself. You know how they say that blind/deaf people are more intuitive? Well I believe that the more senses you have the more distracted you are and can't concentrate. So.. if you're in the dark, meditate and relax and let your mind wander it can be very therapeutic. :)

I don't shower I take baths but i have bathed in the dark.

I shower in the dark. That way I don't look at myself in the mirrors, it's creepy.

I don't shower in COMPLETE darkness. I will have the lights turned off in the bathroom but a small light on outside of the bathroom with the door cracked open a bit. It's pretty relaxing.

Well.. I love darkness, but.. I fear that might make it worse..
[When I shower, I almost faint.. If I use cold water, I don't feel very sick and faint until I get out] and not being able to see [because I'm distracted by sickness- Naturally, I can see well in darkness] I may fall unconscious straight away.. And that's not good..

However, our bathroom lights aren't that bright, and I always have the shower-curtain closed, so its kinda dark in there anyway.

That sounds so fun! I should try it. I think I'd get scared though, lol.

i love it! although sometimes its hard to find the conditioner and shampoo, it's so fun. its so relaxing.
