I hate it when people make a big deal about my birthday. I also can't stand it when my friends who are grown-ass adults feel the need to have a a big special day every single year. My friend's wife is going to have two, that's right, two birthday parties this year. Seriously?
On my birthday I would just prefer to hang out with a couple of friends, family, and my wife and have a few beers. No gifts please!
Ugh! I dwell too much on my birthdays. I'm feeling old lately even tho I'm not. I'll get over it. Its in 2 days by the way. I expect happy birthdays from all !!!!!! :)
I don't cry and I don't celebrate my birthday more than once. But I don't like my birthday. I get presents and cake and all that. Why didn't you just put in an option yes I like my birthday.
Heck yeah I do . If its always go an be there why not celebrate and enjoy it .
I agree..i find nothing great at all about another year of aging and wear and tear on the human body.so many ailments,illnesses and injuries to aquire all fit into 1 year stretches only to build and build till you die.break out the cake and icecream!hmm now im craving chocolate.its a tough one maybe 50/50 on this one.im going to say its normal.

used to love my b-day, (no tears till i got drunk) now im in my mid 20's and starting to dread it, only a few years till 30 and i've not got a lot to show for it. no worries kid, soon those tears of joy will become tears of regret and worry as you start to realize that your hopes and dreams never will come true.
Funnily enough I was just talking about this the other day and my friends were shocked.
In all my life I have never had a birthday party, a birthday present or a card from my parents - so my birthday has never been a big deal for me.
I usually go out for a meal with my husband and son (coz they like to make a fuss) then I go out clubbing with my mates. I dance while I can - before I get too old ;o)
How funny that a poll like this would come up today, on MY birthday!
Yes, I still enjoy birthdays. I'm not obsessed about it, but you're never too old to appreciate getting older.

my birthday is just 2 days after christmas so my birthday is usually over shadowed by christmas and everyone out of town or with family so my birthdays always been just another day
I love my birthday, but not to a "crying tears of joy" level. I've never felt like that about anything, though :/
How ironic, my BD is friday and I'm getting drunk so yeah....I might be crying but I won't have a legitimate reason.

Yaay thanks!! Lool yep today is my birthday!! Sadly I'm in school though :( I'm actually taking a break from writing my Psychology essay (^_^). Turns out I'll be crying tommorrow since thats when I'll be getting a little tipsy. Aww this has made my noon. :)
