Personally I can also have sex once i'm in a deeply commited relationship but that doesn't work with any man who has a high sex drive because he most likely won't wait and that's fine, it means you have different needs. Some people need sex often and from pretty early on because for people with a high sex drive sexual compatability is a high priority so they want to test that before they fully commit.
I've learned this the hard way. I fell for a guy with high sex drive once and he fell for me too, we were a great match for the short while (a month ish) it was possible for it to last.
He explained his needs to me and I explained mine to him, lots of back and forth and not wanting to really ditch each other but we did because he wasn't fully satisfied and I felt a constant pressure on me which only made it harder for me to feel comfortable, and actually caused resentment now and then.
Date someone with a low sex drive if you want to wait a long time with sex, that's my advice. If you want to wait all the way till after marriage, date a practicing christian guy.
I'm sorry but "get along really well" is naive... That is a good foundation, having things in common and being into each other etc, but in the end needs are needs. It could work but very often lack of sex is where many relationships fall apart. Couples stop having sex so they break up or one cheats... That is common.
So in my opinion... Don't invest in someone with needs different to yours in that department. It's a great way to cause yourself unnecessary pain.

It all depends on how serious both people take their sex drive too. Some people are horny bastards but can handle it themselves, others get frustrated over it.

I wouldnt want to date a virgin or even have sex with one. For one Id feel bad to be her first. I also wouldnt like to wait until marriage because that could cause problems if after marriage there's some other excuse why she wont have sex. Then you have to jerk off all the time, then start flirting with some girl at work, then she divorces you and takes half your money. If I'm gonna buy a car I like to test drive it first.
