There's plenty of evidence of homosexuality in the animal kingdom although animal sexuality is obviously a lot different from human sexuality so it manifests itself differently.

Definately. There are over a hundred species reported - that includes mammals, birds, fish etc. Mammals make up about 35-40% of that amount, I believe. Also, humans ARE animals! I love that other animals display 'homosexual behaviour' - it's a big question mark for the homophobic right wing religious types... why would God have created them that way etc. Other animals haven't developed the same thinking and cognitive ability as us, therefore suggesting being gay isn't a case of bad morals or choice. Ha. (Other animals don't seem to have the same level of emotional depth in r'ships as humans - maybe that's what you were alluding to when you say we're different, sorry.)
