Smart? I don't see really see the connection between smart and having fears. I'd see not having any fears as being a bit stupid, though. I don't think the more fears you have, the more intelligent you are, though. After a certain point, it just becomes irrational.

This. Don't be mistaken, our minds are fragile, some more than others, but you can strive to overcome them, it takes work. Mind from from faith and spirituality, I fear the future greatly, and fear more that I'm not doing anything to stop it. I'll tell you this much though, mastering your fears will allow you to transform in ways you can't imagine. Be careful though. I guess I'd like to ask, what are your fears? You can send me a personal message if you want.

I was going to list a reply of things that I'm afraid of, but some feel personal (even though they're not really anything out of the ordinary). So I'll drop you a message.:)

I'd say creating this poll is more indicative of stupidity than 'having lots of fears' :P

The more knowledge you possess, the less you are scared by trivial things

No. I think a smart person will fear the RIGHT things.

Most of the time, we are afraid because we don't know a lot about what is scaring us and we're afraid to find out.

If the fears are rational, yes. If not, no.

The correlation of whether someone is smart/dumb and his/her fears in my opinion would depend on what he/she is fearful about...and I'm not sure that someone who is fearful is actually intelligent in the first place (at least lots of them)...concerned...maybe...but fearful...not necessarily...

Well no not necessarily. See there is rational and irrational fears.

Replace "smart" with "intelligent" and try again.

Hmm... more like cautious. But sometimes being cautious is a wise decision.
