Do you think that we will colonize the moon?

It already happen NASA has a base on the dark side of the moon.

We could have had cities on the moon.

Instead, we got welfare, mass migration and multiculturalism.

rumor has it that an alien species have long been there and they wouldn't allow nasa install our planned military base (project horizon) there.
the apollo missions ended abruptly and two of those twelve astronauts have publicly stated that an extraterrestrial presence is being covered up.
trillions of planets and billions of years-you do the math on the odds of us being alone in planetary travel, even within our own galaxy.

We are planning on building a space station on the moon for easier space travel, colonizing mars is a much more realistic concept as it already has a thin atmosphere

  • Possibly in the years to come...at least in a sense. Mainly for the sake of a place for layovers to other destinations.

...I'm not exactly sure we can really "mess up" a toxic, sterile moon with no life or atmosphere, but your point is well taken.

      Incorrect.

The Earth's moon is composed primarily of the same elements found in the rocky crust of Earth. It is therefore, no more 'toxic' than Earth is.
The Earth's moon, also does have an atmosphere, although it is very, vey sparse (thin), as compared relative to the Earth's atmosphere. This is due simply because of the mass differential. (0.0123 Earth mass).

      • I know. Unlike you, I'm not petty. I don't nitpick. I look at things from a human perspective.

The moon's surface is bathed in radiation...and sterile. Toxic.

At about 1% of Earth's mass, the moon's atmosphere is non-existent by Earth standards.

          Incorrect.

          'Toxic', is related to poison.
          Electromagnetic radiation, is not poisonous.
Exposure to different amounts of various wavelenghths of electromagnetic radiation is sometimes 'radiologically harmful', but not all. We are all being continually exposed to electromagnetic radiation, at all times.
It is only because of ozone, in Earth's atmosphere, which obstructs some of the ultraviolet band of electromagnetic radiation, that allows us to survive on the land surface of Planet Earth.
Other than that, there is little difference in electromagnetic radiation levels on either the Earth's surface, or the Moon's surface.

The Moon has an atmosphere. It does exist. Get over it.

Toxic and poison are not the same thing. Some types of electromagnetic radiation can be toxic.

              Radiation is...non-toxic then? Hahahahaha!

              Thumbs-up for you.

          • You know what? Go fuck yourself...yes, remove your penis and insert it into your anus. This can be done...and you should. You will most likely die from blood loss, making this world a better place.

Look that one up on your online dictionary that can be edited by any member of the population.

"Toxic" has many definitions. Don't just select the one you want to use for your convenience. I literally mean this when I say that you, specifically, are toxic. You're a sociopathic monster with tunnel-vision and an absolute lack of compassion, complicated by your unjustified arrogance. You're a poisonous demon who feeds on people's thirst for something to believe in...pushing some fabricated bullshit about peoples from intergalactic space, whom only you can see.

I'm convinced that your goal is to become the next Ron L. Hubbard, and you may succeed since the world is full of people who are hungry for an explanation for the universe's cruelty. This is specifically why I believe the world will be a better place if you'd just commit suicide, since you're so absolutely unaware of what a piece of shit you are.

I'm sure that you didn't even read more than a sentence or two of this, and if you did, you'll correct me for calling you a demon, a ficticous biblical entity who represents absolute evil, even though I meant in in the figurative sense, since you epitomize evil.

But with future developments I reckon it would be possible.

    • We use up more and more resources everyday. I remember when light bulbs were actually good, we can't even make them anymore, the element doesn't exist because we used it all up.

By the time we advance that far, there'll be nothing left to use. The industrial revolution was the beginning of the end. I'm not "anti technology" but I'm realistic enough to see that it will fuck us in the end.

You aint got no future, we have no future.

        • Oh, someone told me about old lightbulbs using rare elements, I've got no idea but that's not really the issue.

The problem is with the supply of rare earth elements, and that the demand has skyrocketed over the last decade from 40,000 tons to 120,000 tons. Meanwhile, China has been cutting its exports. Now, it only exports about 30,000 tons a year -- only one-fourth of the demand the world needs.

What uses them? The automobile industry uses tens of thousands of tons of rare earth elements each year, and advanced military technology depends on these elements, too. Lots of "green" technologies depend on them, including wind turbines, low-energy light bulbs and hybrid car batteries. In fact, much of western civilization depends on rare earth elements such as terbium, lanthanum and neodymium.

Soon as the china runs out we're fucked, because they don't exist anywhere else.

Rare earths are not actually rare in fact. The difficulty (and cost) is separating them since they are extremely similar.
