Do you think this is right?

Got tonsillitis the day after columbus day which at my work is a paid holiday. I called out sick because I had to have the operation and go to the hospital. Boss said if you don't come in you have to use your own vacation time for columbus day instead of you getting it as a paid holiday. I said I can't use my sick time? She said no even though I showed a doctor's note.

Then at hospital second day because blood pressure low, having allergic reaction to medication and they want to monitor me so I tell her it's going to be another day in the hospital (2 days) and she says that will be three vacation days. Columbus day and the two days in hospital.

I get 10 days off a year and I'm not allowed to take unpaid. I asked even though I know it's not allowed and she said I have to use 3 days of my vacation. Problem is even worse I used up 6 of them since January 2020 for doctor's appointments and food poisoning not once did I even take a single day off for vacation. I have 4 days left which I purposely saved all year for my brother's wedding. I was going to use 3 of them for his wedding but now I'm at -3 and only one day left which means I can't even go to his wedding. It's far away hence the 3 days and I haven't even seen him in months. It's literally next month.

I asked again if I can take unpaid even though I know she doesn't allow it and she said no.

Is this right? 🙁
