Scientists are trying to resurrect the mammoth from the dead. Do you think we should try to bring it back? Are there any other animals you'd like to see be resurrected?

    And they will live where? Canada? Russia? Would they survive the summers heat?

    For what reason do we need mammoths? Only asking because we could just bring back one or two individuals for the curious nature of the discovery. We dont have to take the extra steps by repopulating the world with an animal that already went extinct thousands of years ago. we should focus on the animals that went extinct a week ago.

    It would be cool to have the mammoth back. It can supposedly help the environment too (creating more open fields in places woods are failing if I remember right). And if we were to regret it, it shouldn't be too hard to bring them to extinction again, we already did that back in the stone age and have improved our technology a lot since then. Still hope we can keep them

    Thatd be fuckin sick if they opened a mammoth hunting park. Take em down with a bunch of spears. Thatd be enough meat for a lifetime.

      Naw just fork over 250,000 to the elephant sanctuary for shooting a sick old elephant and then get blasted by activists for thinking you are a poacher despite the money used for the hunt going back into the environment you just hunted in.

    Uh no. Im no expert here bit didn't they live during the freaking ice age? And just how much warmer is it compared to when they were alive. Brining them hack just for them to be miserable and hot is frankly cruel and if anyone somehow brings one back to life I hope they get executed

      Wasn't the ice age at least part of the reason they went extinct? Like it was probably combined with hunting, but they had trouble finding food because of it. We still have relatively cold countries today and there is no proof they actually thrive better in an ice age climate, as opposed to temperate cold climate today
