Do you wash your belly button?

I have never washed my belly button but I've recently read that you are supposed to wash it every time you shower/bathe. Do other people do this? If so, how? Explain in comments please

Every day 23
Once a week 10
When I remember 12
Once a year 4
Never have 11
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

            They're both Kellogg's, I don't see the problem.

I never thought about it. I just shower and soap up but not pay any special attention to my belly button. I figure it gets washed along with everything else.

    • Stick your finger or a Q-tip in. 5 bucks says it'll be dirty.

I use q-tips to dig out dead skin. There is a lot of little balls of dead skin in there. I feel good afterwards.

yeah, I tend to sweat a lot so I wash it just like everything else in the shower.

  • Navel piercings are one of the biggest cause of belly button infections so I think I'll pass

  • Thanks for replying. Yeah, I understand this. However the strange thing is I'm almost 30 and I've never had any kind of infection there. I shower or bath every day, maybe it's getting clean indirectly from these actions... How do you clean yours? I've read that a q-tip and rubbing alcohol is the best way to go.
