More people do than don't?
You freaks!
Minute I get in, shoes off. If it's warm enough, socks off. Actually, even at work (office environment) I've taken to removing my shoes whilst sat at my desk. So much more comfortable.
Oh boy this is a big issue in my house. I grew up in a family that basically did whatever...wore shoes, didn't wear shoes, its all good (barring muddy or wet shoes of course). When I got married, he was used to people never wearing shoes in the house. Like, take them off the second you get in. It has caused some disagreements. I look at it that both sides have a point, its probably keeps things cleaner by removing the shoes from outside dirt but I don't necessarily want strange peoples sock feet in my house(toe fungus?!) Also there are times when I want to have shoes on like before I go to work or when Im cleaning.
These days I generally compromise by wearing slippers but I don't ask my guests to remove their shoes, I think its rude (unless they are muddy or filthy or something)
sorry for long answer.
I only where mine in the house if i come home and still have chores to do, cause as soon as those puppies are off im in lazy home mode.
And i used to go bare foot all the time, even as far as ay basketball on the hot street barefoot as an experement to see if i could obtant hobbit feet
I take them off at the door. It's more comfortable, better for feet and means the carpet doesnt get dirt in it. I take them off at work, too.
If I feel like it. Usually I don't. I don't take them off before I go in though. I come in and take them off in my room.
I don't wear shoes inside my house. Same goes for my family and relatives.
Anyone who makes me take off my shoes the minute I enter their house is always snobby, picky, insecure people. They care more about impressing you with their stuff then their personalities. They usually have too light colored carpeting and want their house to look like a show place. I never return. I like real, down to earth, people who leave it up to you whether you want to take off your shoes or not.
I come from a time when you would ask if you can take off your shoes. Not the other way around.
Disgusting. I'd rather have your smelly possibly fungal feet all over my house than your shoes caked with god knows what. It's rude and just... Ew.
I always go barefoot, bcuz I'm more comfortable that way and plus we have white carpets. Except if I have wet toenail polish I'll wear flip flops to prevent messing it up. that's about it.
No
My feet like get so hot in my shoes and I hate the stupid sand I get on my shoes and the sound it makes on the tile so I immediately take my shoes off when I go in
It's definitely a rule in our home to take your shoes off at the entrance. We our best to keep the floors clean so your feet or socks don't get dirty while inside.
Apparently, this is a cultural phenom! My bestie growing up was Korean and her parents always made it clear that they disliked me. As an adult, I finally got the proverbial balls to ask them why they hatef me so much. Their answer: I never took my shoes off when entering their house. Apparently, that is considered very rude to people born in Asian countries?
Anyways...I always wear my shoes in my house... But I now take them off when visiting.
Surprised how many people voted yes. I don't even wear socks around the house, even if it's cold. I feel weird even putting on shoes to go outside.
