Does bipolar disorder cause changes in personality?

Does bipolar disorder only make you vary between depressed and manic, or does it also make you change your personality back and forth such as being a normal or happy and nice person to suddenly being agressive or rude. And does it make you switch between different likes and dislikes easily and randomly so it is hard to pinpoint someone because they keep changing all the time unexpectedly? Or what is that?

Being depressed and manic is causing a big change in personality.

    They’re not mutually exclusive lol.

Bipolar is more about a change in mood than a change in personality. Mood, and personality are not the same thing.

What you're describing sounds more like borderline personality disorder.

Strongly disagree, shifts in bpd are generally triggered by interaction with other people. They didn’t mention conflict with others so it seems unlikely. As someone with it myself, mania/depression is pretty damn uncommon. Acting out is common, but it’s not mania, it’s actually done in pretty calm states of boredom. Granted there’s some other shit going on there, bit of aspd crossover some might say I’m sure. Somewhat common in bpd apparently.

Bi polar it’s gonna happen regardless. And it’s shifts of exactly what they describe, mania and depressive. Borderline is mostly about interaction with others.
