Does freedom of speech still exist?
I'm curious, does it? We have a lot of beliefs and a lot of opinions out there.
Words are harmless, unless they can have an effect. They only have an effect if a person is susceptible.

Freedom of speech is so much better than this politically correct bullshit!
As humans, I think we do have free speech. I mean we really can say whatever we want most of them time and nothing happens.
In the eyes of the law... no I don't think it exists. It's like... "yeah you can say what you want... except... oh you can't say this, this, and this on tv, you can't insult this person... you can't tell these people about this thing, oh that's top secret, oh you can't talk that way to that person..."... etc. The intention for free speech is there I think, but in reality, it's not really, truly free speech.
I don't think there's really a way around that though. I understand that there sometimes needs to be restrictions on certain things.
Unfortunately, yes, in a democratic society. It shouldn't, however. Freedom of speech only ever leads to violence and conflict, and exacerbates human ugliness further.
