Does my best guy friend like me as more than a friend?

Hi I'm trying to figure out if he likes me or not.

We were friends first then dated a few months but we broke up mutually because we were both going through extreme stress. But then I recently asked if we can date again and he said we can't be in a relationship but he wouldn't explain why but I like we're boyfriend girlfriend.

Here's what he does:

--We talk every day go out to museums, dinner etc every week.

--I go over his place and sleep over (no sex that was only when we were dating for the few months). When I accidentally fall asleep, he always picks me up from the couch and carries me to his bed and tucks me in and he sleeps on the couch. I tell him to leave me on the couch he can have his bed but he insists.

--He buys me chocolate when I'm going through a hard time.

--He asks me how my day at work went.

--When I don't feel good he drives over and makes me something to eat.

--When we watch movies together we lean on each other's shoulders and sometimes he gives me a back massage.

--He definitely finds me attractive because he stares at me a lot and when I ask what he's looking at he says "nothing you're just really beautiful I can't help it"
