My dog keeps rubbing her butt on my floor. It smells like pineapples. Please tell me how to stop this.

    Dogs do this becos they have a itch. Could be worms maybe a trip to the vet is in order.

      Or it could be the shit crusted around the rim of his anus that's causing an itch and he's just trying to wipe it the only way he knows how...

      9 times out of 10 it's a skin condition and applying any anti-itch power including menthol as one of its ingredients will reduce the itch although not eliminate it, frequent applications will need to be applied.

      Note to OP: Try rapidly slapping the dogs ass and look at the cute face the BITCH makes.

    Sounds like the BITCH is "dragging ass" you might want to try a product called "anti monkey butt".

    Realistically you'll want to apply a more appropriate powder like gold bond.

    If there's a smell it's probably blocked anal glands so a trip to the vet would be a good idea. Worms cause the same behavior but no smell that I've ever heard of.

    If you have a strong stomach the vet may be prepared to show you how to empty the anal glands yourself in future, but I'm warning you the stench is nothing like pineapples

    Dogs anal glands get full. Or something like that. It sounds like that's what happened to your dog. Take it to the vet.

    Hemmorhoids will make a dog do this. Also too much caffeine can cause a nasty rectal itch.

    My dog does this because of the glands in his rear, simply bring him to the vet and they'll be sure their are no serious, underlying problems. :)
