    They sound like bullies who were antagonizing you, because you were different. I was a new wave/punk/goth chick in the 1980s, and the redneck guys from FFA would make weird barnyard animal sounds at me when I passed by in halls.

    I don't know what it's like today, high school was Hell for a lot of cool people in the 1980s.
