When I travel to the coast and there is some sand along the shore, I'd call it a beach.
If there was a decent-sized sandy bit I'd call it a beach or the coast, if there wasn't I'd just call it the coast. If I was on the sea coming towards land on a boat, I'd probably call it the shore. Context is important, but I use "coast" in more situations than the others.
The end of the world I'm most comfortable on. I live on a boat and have no real affection for the land. It's dirty, noisy and full of selfish, unpleasant people.
Sorry, just my opinion.
If I'm looking at a map, it's a coast. If I'm at a beach, then it's a beach and the shoreline.
Uhhhh the beach? Or the shore. Or the coast. I'm fire though so I gots to be careful.
It depends on the terrain abutting the water, and the context of conversation.
