Eating raw oats.

I like to eat raw oats. I take the oatmeal before you put hot water on it and I eat it with a spoon. Not the flavored ones either just plain Oats.

Someone ate raw oats on the train and this man could not get over how weird that was.

It's not common but it's really annoying that you eat healthy stuff and people look at you funny but somehow eating burgers and other horrible stuff like that seems so normal for those people and they won't think eating that is weird.

I love raw oats. The porridge thing totally ruins it.

Raw Oats aren't raw - they've already been heated to stabilize them. I use untoasted oats as a base in Mueslix and I use plain organic yoghurt as the softener add nuts , seeds and fresh berries or raisins.outfreakin standing. I'm an endurance athelete( cyclist) and this will fuel you a LONG time

I found an enjoyable way to eat raw oats because I cannot stomach the texture of eating mushy cooked oatmeal. I typically eat my non-fat vanilla yogurt with a scoop of uncooked raw oats and mix in some raisens and almonds or walnuts....what a great combination and great way to get some fiber.

Raw oats are delicious, horses eat it that way, I don't see why we can't. I like eating sometimes, it's like chewing on a really healthy trailmixture, lmao. I also use that when I have the flu and want to vomit, it'll stop the reaction and it calms your stomach, but also stops dry-heaves.

I love raw oats! I'm eating them right now. I love mixing raw oats, honey, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt together for a dessert- like snack. If you add in some coconut flakes it's extra delicious! I am addicted haha :)

If put my raw oats in my coffee grinder, and it gives the oats a texture similiar to ground flaxseeds. Then I mix them with yogurt and fresh fruit, ice and a small amount of milk, and make smoothie. Excellent pick me up...

I eat it and LOVE it. I keep a bag in my drawer at work and munch on it all day long.

If you're craving raw oats, flour, or other odd foods, it could be a sign of low iron. If you just like to eat raw oats on the other hand, there's nothing wrong with that. My sister actually is anemic and eats raw oats frequently and her cholesterol level is extremely low!

I've found that with some sugar and milk, raw oatmeal is rather tasty.

So glad to see all this raw oats love! And hater's-- I guess you didn't know that raw oats are fortified with natural Hater Blockers! I love the crunch! And also those individual quaker oatmeal packs (which should really be called 1/2 of an individual oatmeal packs, because I have never seen anyone eat just one, raw or otherwise), not only did I like to eat the raw oatmeal in those, but the oaty sweet powder at the bottom of the pack and dried bits of peach and impossibly shriveled blueberries was also good raw! There! I said it!

Raw oatmeal: It may not make you normal, but it will surely make you regular.

Wow What comments, Eating Raw oats is healthy, the less processed a food is the better, thats why the raw foods diet is so healthful, and it also is vegan. I have always hated cooked oatmeal and have been eating oats raw for some time. Recently I took unflavored oats and added some vanilla soymilk and about a TBS of Maple Syrup. Maple syrup is a great alternative to sugar because it is less processed than sugar, and hence better for you, it is still better I've heard than the Raw Sugar types.

I have had that problem as well for the last few weeks, maybe a month.
I think that might be considered pica (a disorder where you eat weird things). Usually people with pica eat whatever it is they eat because they are lacking something in it, and with us raw oatmeal people, I'm not sure what that might be.
I read somewhere, though, that raw oatmeal contains silica, which absorbs water, and thought that maybe I like the raw oatmeal because I drink too much water. I dunno, that;s just a guess.

I crave raw oatmeal. It's real good with bee pollen to taste. I do a cup of raw oatmeal with a tablespoon of bee pollen and put it in a plastic bag or container with a small scoop. I'll keep with me through the day and do a scoop when feeling stressed, it really calms me and fast. I don't know why but really does the trick. Any thoughts???

But my real concern is that I love to eat frozen sweetcorn while lying in my down sleeping bag because my body temperature drops and it's hard to stay warm. I can eat a big bag in one sitting. Is that OK?

fill 1/2 of a tall coffee mug with raw oats. pour 2% milk in the glass until the level is about 1 inch over the oats. place in microwave for 1.5 minutes. slice 1/5 of a ripe banana into small peices. place on top. add 1 spoon of splenda or real sugar. mix. thats how i do it its delicious. also, has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

Never tried that before, not sure if I want to. Oatmeal is a terrific food to eat to curb your appetite and for energy. I used to have a small bowl adding boiling water to it, in the early morning, and it would hold me off until dinner and stop my craving for food during midday.
