You are mistaken. Elderly people spend almost as much time on the Internet as adolescents. Retirement gets fucking boring. Golf gets fucking boring. Restaurants get fucking boring. Bridge gets fucking boring. Reading books gets fucking boring. Netflix gets fucking boring. That leaves IIN. Fuck.
I'm okay with all of the other things, but I just hope that senior citizens aren't using technology to watch porn. I understand that back in the day they didn't have such easy access to high quality erotic material, but it just seems kind of creepy. I hope that when I reach that age I will be too mature and wise to have to resort to that.
Do you think you're going to lose all interest in sex when you hit 60?
It's normal for interest in sex to change as you get older, but we're all sexual beings from birth to death.
Many older people are forced to be single for one reason or another. Many older people live with a partner whose interest in sex isn't as great as their own. Many older people still find youthful bodies sexually attractive, but they don't have the money or power which makes them attractive to younger people.
You may find it disgusting to think of the little old lady down the street rubbing one out while watching gay porn, but that might be the nicest thing that happens to her that day, and the only problem would be in your head.
Older people have just as much right as younger people to a fantasy life and as many orgasms as they want to give themselves.
Oh for goodness sake, grow up: why should old people have to lose interest in sex just because you think it's creepy? Mind your own business
You thought it was weird a generalization turned out to not be true for everyone?
Elderlys? You should check your smartphone for how to spell, capitalize, and punctuate. Then we’ll work on sentence structure using your other devices.
Just for your general info, “smartphones” have been around for about 25 years.
A lot of seniors have smart phones. Just because they are older doesn't mean they are stupid. :)
They don't even make payphones anymore. Might see one in an airport or a similar big place.
You millennials need to show more respect to your elders. You'll be one someday. Hopefully.
in case you havent noticed all plans come with a cheap smartphone , thats all that is made in factories. its the fool that buys into the Iphone scam
You should try to avoid stereotyping people. Just as not every young person spends all day fiddling around with their smartphone, not all elderly people are technophobes.
Some older people do find modern technology challenging. My mother-in-law is in her eighties, and she has problems with her television remote control. A smartphone would leave her totally befuddled, and she finds it difficult to use her basic, non-smart mobile phone. But then she has never been the brightest of people.
I'm in my sixties, and I've been messing around with technology since around the time the personal computer was invented. The first computer I worked on in the military occupied a whole room and was much less powerful than even the most basic first-generation smartphone. I have no problems using smartphones or any other modern electronic technology, and I'm sure I have a better understanding of what's actually going on inside the shiny boxes than most of the people using them.
One thing that is possibly different about my approach to technology is that I refuse to be seduced by the advertising pushing the latest and greatest thing, and I am very cynical about the motivations of the big players. I see Facebook as a huge surveillance system, Apple as a greedy, exploitative corporate monster, and Google as useful, but fundamentally pretty creepy.
I'm happy to use the latest technology if it helps me do things I want to do, but I am very wary about big business, special interest groups, and government using technology to influence and control people.
Well think of it this way - it would be considered normal for a person in their 50s to have a gaming console with the introduction of personal gaming consoles for the home during the 70s and 80s.
With each generation passing - you will find smart phone as common as landlines you see in today's older households.
theys prolly usin it for bitchin bout politics on facebook or talkin on speakerphone at jet engine noise levels or some other such cliched oldster activity
