Elon musks's twitter

Elon Musk bought Twitter because he was tired of the overt levels of political censorship that were taking place on the platform. He bought it with the specific intention to make it into a place where free speech doesn't get censored, even if it's unpopular

The American left is calling this a "threat to our democracy". I honestly can't tell if "liberals" are genuinely brain damaged to some extent or if their heads are so far up their own assholes that they're incapable of seeing the irony of calling it a threat to democracy to remove censorship. Whether they're trolling or legitimately less intelligent than a bowl of rotting cottage cheese, fuck those morons

I dont trust elon musk. Hes not Tony fucking stark here. He has is own agenda and even though hes doing twitter a solid by buying it. It doesnt absolve the fact that he has some ulterior motives for buying a large social platform.

    Keep an eye on him.

To be fair, I think anybody could be a bond villain if they had a volcano base

You have all wrong, he bought it because he loves memes. They are funny if they are not censored

I don't really have an opinion on Elon Musk. I've heard some of his ideas before and he seems like a wacko. My Mom hates him.

This, though, I really don't see a problem with. I already didn't like Twitter. It can't get worse. All the fear-baiting over it only makes me think Twitter may actually be improved.

On the news talking about it recently, I heard him described as a "rich, white man", but so are most CEOs in the US. Another pundit remarked about fact-checking and misinformation, to which I had to laugh. No one with half a brain cell gets information from Twitter and thinks it's the truth.

Instead of whining about Elon Musk, how about just putting out a PSA campaign that says "Hey! Don't trust everything you read online!" Followed by a list of non-news, non-government websites with real information, and a big sign that says "ALWAYS VIEW THE SOURCE".

I know, I know, that won't happen. Someone always wants to bash Wikipedia and then link NPR, Drudge Report, Snopes, and the latest and greatest .gov domain. Who has time to read abstracts in scientific databases? That's often one more click than viewing the source of any given news article, which is already way too much effort.

You're supposed to trust the data, not comprehend it. Actually knowing what the fuck is going on is exactly what the media doesn't want

They want the clicks. Simple buisness there. Bet the media is jumping for joy if musk allows trump back on. They love trump the most.

History is written by winners. But remember to read the losers perspective to gain insight into the real picture.

Frankly, I have no desire to use Twitter. I never used it before and I'm not going to use it now. It will simply just switch political sides.

Same. Didnt get into the whole social media thing.

Iin is the closest thing I have to social media. It's not a bubble here. I can be wrong. Which is so much more important than being right.

Seems the democratic types these days often confuse totalitarianism with democracy to quite an extent.

  • Then get used to losing elections

  • Conservatives still believe in this ridiculous notion that it's possible to win elections while fighting fair. If they want to remain a viable contender to the digustingly ironically named "liberals", conservatives need to learn to lie, cheat, abuse, propagandize, and completely gaslight everyone who doesn't believe or pretend to believe their bullshit, just like the left does

Read enough of reddit and you will see that same shit going on the other side.

Be like me and be pessimistic and know that people are self serving assholes. But by leveraging the system we can weed out the nefarious ones.
