Have you noticed if a guy is with his girl and his girl turns around her guy then makes eye contact with every man in the room to catch them staring at his girls ass. Its like a subtle "This is my girl asshole"

          I'm not even joking almost every guy I've ever seen does this when his girl turns around. He will look up at you to see if you are staring at his girlfriend. It actually blows my mind that you are saying you have never noticed this. This isnt something just in my head.
