Ever take gabapentin?

For some reason the only time I can drink without getting sick now is if I take a nerve pain drug called gabapentin before drinking. Its not a narcotic it's easy to get from a doctor. Does anyone else have experience taking this drug?

    I was perscribed them about 5 years ago. I hated them. They made me tired, sleepy and just out of it. I gave mine away. BTW, Them gabapentin are also in the whole problem drugs that people get them to often and abuse them.

    Combining gabapentin and alcohol can worsen central nervous system and respiratory depression, which increases the risk of overdose and death.

      I know alot about drugs and it's fine. I dont take much gabapentin but if you do you just piss it out. The respiratory depression from it is very minimal its no where near opioids.

        They are more than likely going to affect different people different ways. You say it's not much to you. Someone else they could have so much worse reactions.

    You are not supposed to take that drug with alcohol. But if you do, you should add in about a gram of fentanyl to even it out.

    Taking certain drugs with alcohol can fuck you up pretty bad. Be careful about what you mix with alcohol or you could cause a lot of damage to your body.

        Some drugs when mixed with alcohol could cause respiratory depression like Monte pointed out, and certain drugs when combined with alcohol can cause long term damage to your liver or kidneys.

    I took it a few times. It made me sleepy and have vivid dreams. I don't drink, so I wouldn't know about that.

      Ive noticed if I am up moving around it gives me energy. Way too much energy. Its almost like I took speed. Then I sit down and chill and I get tired. Its a weird drug.
