Have you ever lied to other is it normal users about yourself? Things like your gender, age, ethnic background, education, sexual habits, drugs, mental health, etc.?

Yes - so that I would be accepted. 8
Yes - so that I could be a fantasy version of myself. 8

    All the time. I lie all the time here. I am actually a 56 year old black grandmother from Detroit, Michigan. I have said that many times and nobody ever believes it.

    Ooh, good question.

    I probably have. I've left thousands of comments here and it would be a miracle if they were all completely truthful, especially seeing as at the start I didn't place too much value on that. I can't remember what I would have lied about or why though.

    EDIT: Oh yeah, I've definitely lied (or at least been a bit naughty and deliberately misleading) to mess with people before :P And I've told "lies" to make people laugh, but I don't really think "jokes" and "lies" are equitable :P

        A deep, dark hole. Nowhere special. I just hadn't been feeling like myself until a few days ago when i decided to change my outlook on things. Honestly i didn't expect you to take any notice of me at all, or anyone else on here really. Thank you for that. I always wonder where people go when they go too.lol.

    No. I've never really been an open person, so much so that many people had thought i hadn't trusted them enough to share my thoughts and feelings with them. I know it's a fault that I should change so i've always been honest and i've never been afraid to talk about personal subjects. It's crossed over into my every day life, it's allowed me to get closer to people

    Sarcasm is often lost on the internet so sometimes it looks like a lie when in truth I mean the exact opposite.

    Why bother lying?

    1) This is (effectively) an anonymous site. Nobody knows who I am.
    2) If anyone did work out who I am off this site, they would almost certainly go "Yeah, we knew he was a fucking weirdo, no news there!"
    3) I gave up giving a shit what people thought about me ages ago anyway. I'm me, and as long as I am happy with me, the rest of the world can take a long walk off a short pier.

    Ehh, I don't think so. My answer is a combination of dom's and howami's. I see no point in lying, especially about something as trivial as my gender or age. I don't really care. If I don't want someone to know something about me, I don't say anything about it. Plus, big lies seem like such a commitment, since you have to stick with them. And given how long I've used the site, I probably would have to stick with them for quite a while. Why bother?
