Extremely annoyed when people act racist because of government actions
Often, when I go online, I see people turning racist against ethnic groups because of certain things that their homeland government did. For example, there were people celebrating hate crimes against Chinese ethnics in some city because the Chinese Communist Party did bad things (notably to Tibet), when the majority of Chinese ethnics there came from Hong Kong when it was UK's land (i.e. they FLED the Communist Party before it had any influence), and there are Chinese-majority democracies like Taiwan which by the way is composed of those who rebelled and fled from Mao and split well before the Communists did anything to Tibet. Yet all of the Han Chinese (that is the ethnic group) get lumped together and bashed simply because of what China's government does.
I also get very irritated when people are racist against ethnic Germans because of what Hitler did, when there were ethnic Germans from other countries in Europe and overseas that arrived before any WWI/II causes affected Germany and were never even touched by any Nazi army. Even then, ethnic Germans were persecuted and often continue to be bashed because of this.
I am not denying that several countries like the above do or have done terrible atrocities, but I get very irritated when people bash an entire ethnicity because of the actions of a specific country. Is it normal to feel very irritated by this?
