Facial expressions like a reflex to someone frowning?

So I notice that if someone frowns or squints their eyes when they talk to me (attitude look) my facial expression changes in response to them and I start to frown as well. This happens in particular with women for me but also for men. Is it like a normal reflex to what we observe? Also I feel uneasy around my manager because of the bitchy vibe she gives off and her facial expressions. Is this normal?

Yes, probably normal. (mostly how you grew up) However, practice at neutral face in the mirror so that when your boss talks with you, you don't give him (her) the wrong signal that you don't like what is being said.
