I’m starting to fall in love with my friend and they feel it too and it scares me. I avoid relationships but have recently opened up to the idea but i dont know if i can do it.
Thats pretty normal. There's many things which can go wrong and you have to be pretty confident to put yourself out there and take all the risks. Of course if it's a friend the risks are smaller because you know them well and don't have to worry about them turning out to be a jerk (unless they'd be a good friend but a horrible partner) but then it's the whole risk of ruining a friendship instead. There's always something.
Keep in mind though that if you never go for it you can never truly love and be loved.
Falling in love can be very unnerving, especially with someone you're already close friends with. It's very normal to be afraid of losing someone that is already close to you and it can be easy to fuck up if you aren't careful, or if you let your emotions take control or cloud your judgement. If you really think you and your friend are compatible with eachother I think you should go for it. Best of luck to you.
