Here's a short list of some my favorites. I'm a classically trained musician btw, so I listen to some pretty out there stuff. I played trumpet for 11 years, sang opera and musical theatre in college, and was a music education major for a while. Most of what I like is more contemporary and within the last 100 years or so. I still enjoy the greats like Mozart, Bach, Beethoven and the like, but my mind responds more favorably to dissonance and experimental music. Also there are a couple of choral tracks down here as well. They might make you cry though.

I like Chopin's waltz No. 10 to play. Vivaldi's Four Seasons and stuff by Corelli for listening.

Chopin's Ballade No. 1 is my favorite piano piece to play. As for having a favorite overall, I can't tell you, because I can't be that selective. ;)

I don't know much classical music, but of that which I do know, I quite like Mozart's Requiem.

I love this "story" (if you can call it that) because it has to do with Classical music (something of which is never really talked about).

Anyways, I'm a big Mozart fan. And with that being said, my favorite would have to be his 40th Symphony.

I like many other pieces by various other classical composers, and I still haven't discovered many of them! But yeah, I'm going to go with Mozart.

    • I know, I was surprised at how little classical music is written about here. Please do share the "many other pieces by various other classical composers" which you like! I haven't heard that much classical music myself and would love to listen to some new stuff.

Hey I'm so very sorry for such a late response!

Well, to begin, I'm not quite sure of what you have listened so far.

I'll give some examples of stuff for you to listen, that I think are personally outstanding.

MOZART: Symphonies numbers 40 and 41.
        -Piano Concerto No. 21
        -Piano Sonata No. 15

        BEETHOVEN:
        -Symphony No. 9
        -Actually, any of his symphonies
        -Any wind pieces

Besides all those Classical composer's, there's more out there for you to discover, like George Gershwin. For example, have you ever heard his piece named Rhapsody in Blue, or Porgy and Bess? I'd check those out. I'd love to show you more stuff, but it's rather late here. Anyways, message back if you want to discuss more about Classical music!
