Fear of swimming pool drains
Ever since I can remember I have been afraid of swimming pool drains (or more specifically I suppose, the drain covers), particularly the ones with a white cover and 25-150 little slits around the edges).

Hayward WGX1048s are horrifying, ABF64s are also pretty creepy and please don't push me into a pool that has a WaterWay Anti-Vortex 8 or you'll have MY waterWORKS going.
But good heavens! this one is by far, the most terrifying to me

Strangely enough, I'm not afraid of the ones with just 2-3 holes that look like bowling balls or the grate type either.

Anyway, until I was about 11 or 12 I remember my fear of those pesky, white slitted ruffians on the bottom of the pool would keep me on the steps of the pool, refusing to enter and I would have to muster up a lot of courage to even venture into the shallow end.
Thankfully, nowadays given I thoroughly check the pool for drains, then I don't mind swimming around the drain or over it but I prefer to avoid it if possible.
However still, if I step on a drain without knowing it was there, then I will have a big fat panic attack. You don't want to witness that.
Anyhow, I find Jacuzzi/Spas are the worst for me, for two reasons:
1. I watched a story about a girl who drowned in a spa due to her hair being caught in the drain (But that was because she was foolishly doing an underwater breathing competition) and somebody else who had her kidney or liver sucked out (but that was because she was SITTING on the drain)
2. you can feel the sensation of the drain omitting water upon touching it and this for some reason likely sends my cortisol levels into overdrive.
Look, I know it's not normal at all and I know it's irrational but I'd like to see if anyone else had this fear (or a similar fear) and managed to fully conquer it. My parents helped me quite a bit, but I still haven't fully gotten over it. I'd like to spread awareness about this fear and help others who also have it.
